Recently got a new threaded barrel and Eden perfection compensator just to go to the range and get a failure to feed each shot what did I do wrong and what do I do to fix this from happening. P.S. yes this is the first compensator I’ve ever bought and installed
A pic would be nice. What all else is on the firearm?
The comp is too heavy if I had to guess. Honestly on a 5.7 I dont think they are needed.
The compensator was specifically made for the Rock 5.7
ammo type? Lots of factors here. The Rock is very weight sensitive. If you have an optic, and a comp, and weak ammo, it may not work.
@Buffman-RANGE uses that comp and maybe he can offer you some guidance.
Does the gun run without the comp? When mounting the optic did you ensure you didn’t bottom the threads of the screws out into the striker housing? You have the little push out piece of the guide rod pushing on the barrel? Is there clearance between the comp and guide rod as the slide moves to the rear? What happens if you pick the comp off one full turn?
Yes and after I added the mag extensions it’s a new problem With the addition of the Eden perfection compensator
It does run without the comp with all my attachments
I will go to the range soon and see how backing it off a rotation or two might change my problem
Try one thing at a time. Use regular mags and the comp. See if that’s the issue. Then try the mag extension.
Have you done anything else to the gun?
My similar issue with my HB compensator was the guide rod spring. Changed mine from the original 18 pound to a 15 pound. The more weight you add to a slide, the lighter the spring. Bought a kit with several different springs and tuned it
While I don’t have a compensator on mine, I have run mine with a Banish 22 suppressor on it and have had no problems. Maybe I got lucky with mine, but the extra weight has not been an issue for me.
Spring kit? from whom???
Or is that for the dagger?
