Is there an ETA on when it comes for sale? How Much??
I am VERY much looking forward to this. Now build us an FAL, Johnson 1941, FG-42, and new production M1 Garands. I’m assuming that battlefield means wood and steel that was used in war.
An FG-42 in 30-06 would be freakin’ awesome.
Very cool. Barring some outrageous price, that will be on my want list. I have always liked the STG-44 and the MP-42.
I’m legitimately excited to see what else PSA is going to come out with for this new “battlefield” line!!! The STG-44 is a huge stepping off point and iconic! And to offer it in 8mm is amazing as well! I honestly hope it’s not too much out of my grasp because I really want one, also hoping that New York’s unsafe act goes bye bye due to Bruen and we can purchase said rifles again.
As one of the guys who invested for three years or so in the HMG project, I’m not holding my breath on this project. I did get my money back from HMG. Now, that said, PSA does have more real world experience producing firearms. They also will likely keep all manufacturing in-house. HMG out-sourced too much of the process, the vendor would not deliver promised product or return tooling owned by HMG. I do not know how that actually ended. Last I heard it was going to court.

@pilot4prophet i dont know much about any of this, but what ive found by simply watching the stuff for this STG44 evidentially PSA bought HMG, and one of the owners of that (the M in it i think) is also working for psa now per one of the videos i posted around here somewhere, and thus, it should be in production later this year is what he says… so while i totally get your skepticism, i am hoping with Psa now the manufacturer, that your concern that it will not be produced is ill founded and we will indeed have a great STG44 here shortly.

Well, I’m certainly not rooting for PSA to fail, If it does become reality, it would be a cool gun. I put my money down years ago for it. So good luck, fair winds and following seas and all that. I wouldn’t characterize my skepticism as “ill-founded” though. That implies a malevolence on my part, and that I have no or little knowledge of previous events. I’m retired now, half of my garage is ammo, and my wife tells me to cut back on collecting. I agree with her, I can’t take them all with me. Would have been a hoot if it were delivered as promised the first time around. I’m gonna pass on it this time. I still have 4 Hungarian parts kits and a KP (KE?) AR to bring to bring to life before my dirtnap.

When will the original preorder guns ship? Who is in charge of that list: PSA or HMG? I have been waiting a long, long, long time for my original preordered stg44 and I hope this is not another bitter disappointment for those of us who supported the development of a semi stg44.

im sure the preorder will go out before the rest of us ever see one on sale. HMG from what i see IS psa now, and i know you’ve been waiting forever it seems for yours with the preorder. I doubt you’ll be disappointed again like before, in fact i wish i had been on the preorder as yall will get the price you paid honored and we who werent involved will have to spend a bit more… yall will also get the newer models with the upgraded trigger systems and stuff so it will be a better gun for you as well.

Same thing an AUG goes for. The bottom level gun owners wont buy one. It doesn’t have MLoc mounts. Its a collector thing. Mac and Hill flyby nighters pissed a lot of people off. This gun is a bargain at around 2K. There are no other option except a very rare import a few years ago that now sell north of 10K.

Any updates to this? Still nothing on PSAs site at all, even hinting that this is coming.
My understanding is the company is fulfilling the pre-orders they had prior to coming under the JJE umbrella. Once that is done they will open it up.
