Psa stg-44

Thank you so much for that information, that makes sense. I’ve read a bit about that former company and that situation. So, in your opinion, would this particular thread be a good one to ‘watch’ for notifications/updates?

Its best to leave the same topics in the same thread.

Welcome to the forum @philipbollenbacher

I am amazed at the intelligence here. I am new to all of this and just became aware of the PSA attempt at the STG-44. If the answer has been posted and I missed it I apologize, but is there an estimated public availability date and will PSA follow up on an 8mm ver? I think I am going to like it here.

HMG is fulfilling the preorders they had prior to joining the JJE portfolio of companies.

Good

Welcome to the forum @topguntransfer

I am like you guys, I’m eagerly awaiting on the STG44 to be released under PSA. From what i understand they were hoping to have it out as fast as possible, and that does include as what GG said having to fulfill the orders that were preordered under HMG. I think i also heard there may be a few things that they tweak from the HMG version to the PSA released version to streamline manufacturing. (i heard that in one of the videos with the previous HMG guy talking in it.) That said, I wouldnt be expecting the rifle until the 4th Quarter of 23, if not 1q24 at the earliest. I’m ok with this, because i know most oof all the r&d is done, and its going to be mostly a matter of just tooling up for the main production for PSA. So i will eagerly wait for the rifle.

Calibers mentioned in the video i saw did in fact mention mostly 5.56 to begin with, with releases in the future with 8mm and maybe even 7.62x39 and other calibers. If you want to see these videos, just search Youtube for the STG-44 and PSA and you’ll find them eventually. they were very in depth questions with the original guy from HMG who is now at PSA on the project, so you’ll hear it from the horses mouth basically.

Welcome to the forum you guys glad to have you all here!

Hello! I’m new to this forum. I can’t wait for this gun to be available for either pre-order or purchase. Do we have any information about when that will happen? I called PSA in January and they said to just keep checking the website. I see that “Battlefield” is not listed as a brand yet.

I am wondering how far along are they getting in fulfilling those preorders. I figured I would see some videos on line of proud owners with these rifles in the wild by now.

Just saw this, appears the release has been delayed to early 2024.

Wouldn’t just love to know the Un-Varnished Truth behind this?

On the Upside that’s another 90 Days at least of Rolling Up Pennies , Checking under Couch Cushions and collecting Pop Bottles for Refund money to pay for one… also more time to find a better hiding place for it , so the Mrs doesn’t break it over your head.

of course… and some of it is out there on videos with the old owner of the old company that was producing them, they had some financial trouble from what i understood via legal suits… but i could be wrong. either way, PSA owns it now, and when it comes out via PSA itll be a great product… I can wait till 24 without an issue. that way i can figure out how to buy the other new guns psa is coming out with.
loll

Yes…they put out Videos…all leading to a targeted release date based on past/historical issues being resolved. I’m just glad for once to Not be an Original Investor in this , with or without the PSA taking it over.

If PSA was so All Mighty confident in their products…and their Ability to deliver in a somewhat timely manner they’d make the leap of Confidence by allowing Legit Customers buy a Build Slot , thus getting an idea of how much Real , No BS interest is out there. No Forum Lip Service. Money Talks!

The same thing goes for the H&R Brand. …allow advance purchases rather than a Slanted Lottery via Daily Emails that are tipped off to ARFCom beforehand.

They should also be cranking out A1 parts without the Grey Anodize to give some a cheaper and quicker option to their Retro wants and needs. Let the Customer decide by giving them Real choices.

The Grey Anodizing Process is hendering things , admit it or not?

TNTE has seen the Light on Pre-Purchases and this will slowly eat into PSA’s numbers , even at the Higher price of a Billet Vs. PSA’s Forged products. People want product , not more stories of delays add nauseum .

I threw up a little bit in my mouth.

it is always better to have the product ready to go to sell, than to sell slots of pre-order on products that you do not know how long it will take to actually make the product and get it to your customers.

It is ok to pre-order pre-sale things that you know how long it will take to make them, like their lowers, they have direct control of, and know how long it will take to get that product from machining to completion.

So with the STG, they have recently purchased the company, assimilated the old owner into PSA’s structure, taken control of all outstanding credits and debits, paid off any legal fees needed on the acquisition and any legal outstanding debts, and thats not even touching the actual products that the company had. who says they had even tooled up anything, or moved any of the tooling over to PSA’s facilities, or better yet, who says they havent had to build new buildings, or purchase new buildings to house the new manufacturing that is going to be producing the items, (in this case the stg, or in the other case the entire H&R side of things) I think its premature to even think of a presale, and with the STG they know there i sa huge preorder already out there that they have to honor because it had already been sold under the old company. They have to fill those orders first. Then they can work on new orders. So again. A preorder or pre-purchase would be more trouble i think, and im sure they think as well.

As for H&R, Again, PSA purchased H&R out of the ruins of the freedom group. THey also bought Nodak Spud, and combined the two, giving Mike the old owner/runner of Nodak the CEO position of H&R. Mike has been working day and night getting H&R spun up, and while it takes time to move the equipment and get everythign setup, things are moving along well. One thing of note, the anodizing if im not incorrect nodak had outsourced, so while it took time for them to setup their anodizing when they were starting their retro lower stuff, it was not something they did directly. (i could be totally wrong here but im going by memory and you know how that could be over a decade) PSA anodizes their own stuff, so they are having to setup their own anodizing for H&R and getting the coloring perfect takes time im sure.

i know we’re a culture of instant grattitude, and I WANT IT NOW but we need to be patient and realize good things come to those who wait.

I was taught the Maximum Effective Range of an Excuse is Zero Point Zero Meters.

while i agree about excuse… however there is a large difference between a factual reason and an excuse.

You have Not offered any facts…just links to dated excuses.

This is starting to look like a reprise of the first effort.

I hope that is Not the case.
