PSA to make a retro series?

Well if the CEO ain’t right then y’all are in big trouble.

The M1 Garand was designed in theory in 1928 and started production in 1934 .

WWII created a demand for greater capacity than the Arsenal at real Springfield Armory could handle. Winchester , International Harvester and Harrington and Richardson were brought on board to help meet the needs…So Yes H&R would have had access to the TDP

Fast forward… after many decades and changes of hands the Name and Intellectual Properties of Harrington and Richardson become available and JJE the parent company of PSA seizes opportunity.

Nodak Spud a company known for its replication of AR-15’s is aquired and its primary partner is named the CEO of the newly rebranded Harrington and Richardson.

So Yes…there is every reason to believe they have the TDP through aquistions or expired Patents or the FOIA.

As a Follow Up…they have also expressed interest in building a Clone of the M-14 Rifle in 7.62x51 NATO…this was also a program that the Legacy Harrington and Richardson was tapped to aid in somewhere between 1957 and 1965 .

The M14 and the Army Arsenal method of Production was ceased at the urgings of then Secretary of Defense Robert S. McNamara and Production was through the Private Sector with oversights in place.

Harrington and Richardson would again be called on to aid in M16A1 Production during the war in Vietnam.
