I realize with current market pressures this isn’t likely now but I’d like to see PSA pursue some retro pieces. Specifically correct A-1 and A-2 carry handle uppers. Is there a market for it? Try and buy one today and see.
@blueridge1 there is certainly a market for retro stuff. With PSA’s parent company acquiring the H&R brand, I think we will see retro stuff available in that line. I saw PSA asking about retro specifics on another retro gun forum. When will it happen? I have no idea, but I am excited.

They have a 11.5" classic upper for sale, and I snagged one of those. I put a $30 aluminum carry handle on it, and used an SBA4 brace pistol lower, and it turned out awesome for a colt 733 commando ish build. Although, it would still be cool to have more legit retro build parts.

I’m a fan of retro builds. I’d like to hear about others experience distressing new parts that get mixed in with old parts.

In before throw it down the driveway? The only experience I’ve had was using naval jelly on black lower parts pieces to make them resemble Colt grey, actually worked ok.

I had purchased a surplus M16A1 parts kit which came with everything but the barrel and lower receiver. I waited the 3 months from Nodak Spud for the lower. Take some fine grit sand paper and wet sand the high spots around the receiver and you will simulate many years of wear in a matter of minutes. Then I just scraped and scratched it up pretty good in my crushed limestone driveway. It really doesn’t take much and don’t over think it. It is a very simple process.

Retro parts are available. Maybe not A1 retro. A2, A4 & M4 available for clones.
I received today’s email from PSA advertising a FDE mid-length complete upper for $299.99 shipped. Really great price on a very mild shooting carbine.
I bit.
When checking out, I see charges of $8.99 for shipping!
What gives?
Can’t always escape the sales tax but why advertise free shipping, then add $8.99 for shipping?
I closed the page without ordering. Oh well. I am happy with my PSA US Govt Property marked M16-A4 lower & NC Del-Ton HBAR upper.
Glad not adding more debt to my CC but disappointed I won’t be ordering one.
AR’s are an addiction. PSA helps feed that addiction.
Looking forward to more deals I can’t refuse but please don’t advertise one price & then change the terms at checkout.

This is great news. do you know well, upon thinking more of my question, i assume that, they will have the proper fences, and other proper Manufacturing variances that those models had originally jus tlike the ones that nodak used to make, since theyve incorporated H&Rnow and also can tap on nodaks knowledge base as well.
