So i’ve been on the PSA site for a long time as many of you all have too. I’ve created many back in stock notifications for things i need or want, as a way to remind me to buy it or check on it when it does come back in stock. Well Lately i’ve recieved emails all right. the back in stock not in stock still find something else email.
It technically reads this: “You’re receiving this email because you signed up for Back in Stock notifications that have now expired. Since we weren’t able to find the items you were after, we would like to recommend some similar items for you!”
so what im saying is this, wouldnt it be better if it told you exactly WHAT it was that you had signed up to be notified by the back in stock system? i get that it has expired because PSA has set some sort of a timer on it, but i’ve flagged quite a few t hings since PSA never has stuff in stock anyways, so it would be helpful if it told me each time what it was so i can either re flag it or go buy something else somewhere else.
I’ve had the same thought, but I always shrugged it off as them constantly having to add unique SKUs for things with any change in the listing. Would definitely be good to just have a simple reference on the original product, though.
i cant see how it saves you money when time is money n then all youre having to spend more time looking for whatever that item was that they just cancelled and didnt tell you what it was. i figure least they could do is tell me what item they cancelled that was what i had put on the remind me when it comes in list. cause i have such a large list i may have already picked it up at another vendor.
I found this thread because the forum listed it for me under “recommended topics.”
The OP asked a question that I’ve always wondered about because I have the same problem. I have to agree the notices the OP describes are ambiguous – they tell you that what you ordered has not been restocked, that the notice has expired, and they make recommendations of alternate items for you, but they don’t bother to tell you which out of stock notice triggered the message, or give you any inclination about how long it takes for a notice to expire. When I get these messages I have absolutely no clue what they’re referring to. That reduces their value to be on-par with spam emails.
I don’t mean to be a complainer about this, but I agree that ambiguity makes the notices of no value. I don’t need automatic sales pitches. I only want to know about things that I signed up for. Because no facet of the out of stock notice system works for me, I just delete the emails and I’ve already stopped signing up for the notices because they’re not really helpful.
I’ve also deleted my credit card information and my shipping address, because I couldn’t delete my account, but that’s another story.
thanks bud. i think the major issue here is that the notifications that something we wanted notified on is back in stock emails dont tell us what exactly that item was that we wanted to know was back in stock.
hopefully it is an easy win for sure.
I am an IT professional who loves guns. I have an upgrade idea from the PSA website but I cannot figure out who is the correct person to message about it. Any help or information would be greatly appreciated.
@hunterharris welcome aboard the forums, from one IT dude who loves guns to another. GuitarGuy is right, @sean.psa would be the better choice actually when it comes to web site/forum things.
