Looking for guidance on the milling requirements needed for the gas tube cover piece. I have a PSAK-47 GF5, the JL Billet hand guard fits nicely, but the Gas Tube Cover needs some milling work to fit. Since this part is sold pre-installed on the GF5, I am hoping for a little guidance before I start grinding away!
I didn’t have to grind anything. Loosen all of the screws on the handgaurd and install the gas tube with top cover installed. Once installed tighten all of the screws on the handgaurd. Also, I didn’t need to use the handgaurd retaining screws.

Thank You!!! That’s the exact advice I needed, my JL Billet gas tube cover is successfully installed! I loosened all the screws, but it turns out the final solution was removing the hand-guard retaining screw that I special purchased to minimize the ‘play’ in the hand-guard. Now the entire system is ROCK FEAKIN SOLID!

Those handguards get warm, but they look great. And its a lot better grip than the wood or plastic.
