PSAK 47 Upgrades Tips

I recently bought a PSAK 47 GF3 - MOE with a side folding stock. I love it but it’s missing a few things. I would like to add my red dot and any other upgrades that would be useful. I mainly got it as a range toy but have considered using it for home defense, if applicable. Any tips on the topic, optic mounts, rail additions, and any other upgrades would be appreciated.

Here’s the micro mount I bought for mine: BDM 1 - Bitty Dot Mount for Micro Dot Sights. I also got an M-lok offset mount for a flashlight.

I know its not a huge upgrade but I changed the stock grip to the Magpul MOE-K2 grip and it just feels so much better in my hands. I’ll be checking back on this thread for other suggestions for AK upgrades.

Instead of buying a optics mount, I went the way of the DISC Midwest Ind Saiga Hand guard (you can get it from PSA’s website. It’s a replacement of the “stock” hand guard that comes with the gun. It has Picatanny on the top and side for mounting optics, lights, etc. Highly recommend it!

Cool! I think they sell a MoeKov version that has it already installed as well. Found it: https://palmettostatearmory.com/psa-ak47-gf3-forged-railed-moekov-rifle-black.html

I got the UltiMAK tube mount for my Century AK rifle a while back, but that only gets you a rail on top. Still works well, but I would need to go M-Lok for a flashlight (that’s what I did on my PSAK). My AK pistol came with a 4 rail handguard on the front, which I low mounted a red dot.

RS Regulate makes hand guards and optic mounts, highly recommended by me
