just got a PSA PA-15 16" M4 that came with a fixed front sight. What is a good rear sight that would work well with it.

I would go with a carry handle

Or a magpul mbus.
welcome to the forums!
if you’re going to put an optic on it later, go with the magpul flip up buis.
if you’re not going to go optic, i’d do the carry handle just like was said above.
best of luck to you, and welcome to the forums!
welcome bud
another vote for Magpul
Thanks, I never knew of this option. I’ll be putting a red dot optic on soon, so I’ll probable go with fixed or flip ups for back ups.
carry handle all the way… put the dot on top of the carry handle, not only is it very aesthetically pleasing but it’s also the perfect height for less than the expensive risers.
Hey Ya’ll,
New to PSA Getting a PA AR-15 myself. Love PSA.. I was wanting to know about the rear sight as well. I love the reference for the carry handle. That's what I'm going to do. . Economical as well. Plus, like you said it looks great.!!!
I did want to ask one more Q though? Can I put a red dot co-witness on the carry handle? I’m sure i can put a red dot on the handle but not sure if it can do a co witness.
Thanks

@davidheflin66 yes, and they are called gooseneck mounts. Not many places make them anymore so they are pricey unless you find a used USGI one.
i like guitar guys method, but they also make cut handles for exactly what you are asking. here is a photo of what you would need for co-witness, in the photo i actually had mine at 1/3 co-witness but that’s just a taller than stock riser…
however im not a fan of co-witness at all, not even the 1/3… for a while i would only use irons or a dot, then i tried a dot ontop and was very impressed with how quick i can snap the carbine right on point without bending my neck searching for the dot.
Yea, I’ve seen those and not real impressed… I"m going with the irons and my AimPoint vintage Mk III… Can’t believe it still works lol…
thanks,
Dh
I agree with you! I’m of the carry handle gang. If he wants to add a red dot or another optic, just get a picatinny rail adapter that’s made to fit on top of the handle. They’re only $14-$15. I got one from Ozark Armament. Love it!
most people use magpul mbus from what i’ve seen
yeah they are by far the most common and usually the reason is theyre main stream and trusted by everyone and they are about the most inexpensive out there while doing that. If you want a nicer high end flip ups, i suggest going with the Troy Industries flip up optics, they come in multiple colors and are aluminum like the magpul pro and the new magpul mbus 2 flip ups are.
personally i like the new magpul flip ups better than the plstic ones, as i prefer aluminum flip up sights, another reason i like the troys as well.
also, welcome to the forum @brenansmall glad to have you!
