I understand this is super unscientific, and that photo isn’t the final design, but I enjoy the speculation. Looks like they have a 6" barrel here. I’m curious if that’s a weight limit from reusing the Rock’s mechanisms for this prototype.

yeah i know about the speculation on it, and i too thought that as well when seeing it. Im not sure how / what they’re doing to make it. I always thought that making a Jakl version of the rock would be awesome though and had hoped that this would have been it but it doesnt look like it.

The main point of contention for me is that I just spent like 70 some odd dollars for new extensions from excess arms and now PSA is like. Oh hey might have some 40 round mags coming your way!

I hope that no matter what happens with the development of this large format pistol, they give us the mags.

I did not realize how similar this looks the MP7. It’s almost one for one visually. That has a 7" barrel, so maybe that’s what this prototype has?

So do we crack open a new psa x5.7 section on the forum, or does it just get a dedicated thread in here? @GamecockOperator

@sean.psa can add one.

TY all!

Yeah i think its a great idea, and as Guitar said @sean.psa can add a subforum for us regarding the 5.7x28 guns.

TFB is one of my favorite firearm channels. Amazing how Jamin managed to keep Hop quiet for almost the entire 5 minutes.

I’m afraid of the price, but a binary Rock with a 40 round magazine would be the funnest and fastest way to drain my wallet.

Don’t forget the$200 SBR transfer fee.

Easily. They currently have a trigger and slide binary system for the G17 that’s going for $900. Really hope they find a better solution with the Rock and x5.7.

They are pistols until you SBR them.
