Sbr?

I’m working on my first build. I’m putting together a 556/223 with an Aero builders kit ( upper, lower, and handguard ). I’ve installed a Ballistic Advantage 13.7 barrel coupled with a Canooter Valve 6 inch suppressor to achieve the goal of keeping most of it inside the 15 inch hand guard while meeting the 16 inch requirement. Now that I have these parts I’m uncertain if I should pin and weld, put a pistol brace on, or make it a 2 stamper and just SBR the thing. I really don’t like the idea of pinning and welding a brand new can. I also don’t like the volatility of the pistol brace ( NFA rules change with every administration). I also like my hard earned greenbacks and don’t want to make it atwo

a two stamp.

Well juzt cause the regulations on braces may change from time to time dowsnt mean you have to. How offen are you in public with your pistol/rifle with folks you dont know shooting? Its not like thers a door to door regulation squad. You know the old saying. What one doesnt know cant hurt ones self just some random thoughts ymmv

How much do you plan shooting it? Does the can you want disassemble (the internals) entirely from the muzzle end? Cleaning Baffles is A Thing.

Pin and Weld is intended as a Permanent attachment, essentially making it an Integrally-suppressed firearm.

There are IS uppers out there….

Do NOT pin and weld a suppressor. You want to be able to service it should something happen.

Do a brace for now and then decide if you want to SBR it.

GuitarGuy speaks wisdom.

The odds of the pistol brace rule actually lasting more than a few months is slim. A federal court blocked most of the frame and receiver rule with a preliminary injunction and the case hasn’t even gone to trial yet. After Bruen and WV v EPA, even Biden apppintees are blocking rule changes and gun laws. (disclaimer: not legal advice)

I’m with guitar guy. Just throw a brace on it and then see if you want to sbr it later
