Personally I would really love the shotgun with “pistol” variants. I really think this would give the Shockwave a run for it’s money.
Yeah I am kinda thinking that when the saber 11 releases I might be able to snag a prodigy for real cheap. I think the prodigy would be more comparable to the emissary as the prodigy has the bull barrel and that usually drives the price up a bit.
It seems to me that people just want nicer 2011’s than they do normal 1911’s, even budget brands like RIA and tisas are making their entry level 2011’s with nicer parts than their entry level 2011’s. It is weird that they are still a couple hundred more than their single stack counterparts, but maybe in a couple years we’ll see that come down.
@GamecockOperator I did my voting based on “what would I buy right now if I had the chance, that isn’t available on the market right now from someone else”.
A roller-delay PDW in 9mm with modern features simply doesn’t exist right now- and I want a suppressed backpack gun that’s QUIET-quiet.
Similar logic follows for the 338 Arc Jakl… The only other thing on the market is Robinson’s XCR, and it’s not actually out yet either.
The other stuff, while objectively “cool”, isn’t stuff that would actually sell- the idea of a new, more affordable 50 on the market is awesome, but nobody is going to buy it… On top of the vast majority of people not even having somewhere to shoot it, the whole “affordable” thing doesn’t do much when you look at the price of the AMMO- someone who doesn’t have a 50 because of cost is also someone who won’t be able to afford shooting it even if a more affordable gun gets released.
@loki993 exactly! When it comes to 9mm “forward mag-style” PCC’s? Unless it’s delayed blowback, it’s just another pointless addition to an already-saturated market.
Something akin to an “updated” MP5 but with modern features is what we need… Use the MP5’s roller-delay system, but in a firearm that has ambi controls, last round bolt hold open, and a bolt release. Use an extruded, forged, or even billet receiver instead of stamping, with an integrated 1913 top rail, and use the new Scorpion mags, since they’re plentiful, affordable, and reliable from Magpul and allow for a button-style mag realease, and have a LRBHO-compatible follower already.
Bonus points if it accepts AR triggers and safeties, so people can easily put in a binary, FRT, Super Safety, ect if they so choose. 1913 at the rear so that we can use whatever style stock we want.
@GamecockOperator THIS would sell like hotcakes, and it doesn’t currently exist, period- Angstadt got close with the MDP, but they fumbled the bag because of cost, poor QC, not allowing for/supporting different locking pieces, and going with Glock mags.
It can obviously be done- all of the features I mentioned have been done individually, we just haven’t had a company do the entire package yet. I mean, the MP5/10 guns even CAME from HK with LRBHO and a bolt catch/release.
You could even go a little crazy with it and use a small hydraulic or pneumatic buffer in the rear to further minimize recoil and capitalize on the strengths of the platform.
I imagine it would be possible to use AR9-style barrels and AR handguard systems as well, both to minimize tooling and design costs and to maximize customizability.
I came here to check whether or not the poll results had been made public. I voted for the 570 shotgun, since that form factor, at PSA’s pricing, is a deal that’s so sweet. I’ve always wondered why noone did a pump action like that before.
The 50 BMG semi-auto, of course.
and the 22. I think providing more aftermarket support for 22lr is important for kit builders.

I’m so very tired of 9mm blowback systems. I get it, it’s very profitable, and the upcharge on them is incredible for margins.
Same goes for the Jakl lineup. I get it, it’s very profitable since aluminum extrusions of all the same profile use the exact same tooling. Making good on that with a wider lineup.
338 ARC. I get it, it’s 300 BO but “better” but it’s unobtanium. I haven’t seen anyone sell the cartridge, and I’ve seen every kind of 7mm ever produced within the last 6 months. I’ve even seen tokarev ammo in a baggie at a pawnshop, not even behind the counter, like 3 weeks ago.
Nothing in 10mm. I’ve been DYING for a dagger in 10mm.
The sabre 2011, i get it, people want a 2011 that doesnt bust the bank. But the 1911 platform has inherent issues that’s going to be a nightmare. I predict that in a few years, there’s going to be a stigma about PSA’s 2011’s that they’re “fixer uppers” at best, and “something you should never bet your life on” at worst. This stigma already is lingering around PSA products, and the 1911 platform is going to cement that. It won’t even be really a “design” or “execution” problem. The platform is over 100 years old, and 2011’s from other companies are expensive because they have already R&D’d the living hell out of the tolerances (which have to be tight!) to get 2011’s working properly.
I have a few ideas that I think would be pretty neat to see. A bullpup conversion kit for the JAKL 308. Get a few influencers to pimp it, make sure the trigger doesn’t suck. You could probably use compliant sheets of spring steel as hinges and get a literally frictionless setup for a bullpup trigger linkage, have a glock style trigger saftey to make sure it’s dropsafe, then boom. A compact 308 that has an 18 inch barrel, (hopefully) good balance after adding a sling, light, optic n such.
Cheap Turkish made mp5s made on HK equipment will prevent this. No company wants to do the r&d and spend $100k on a gun they will then have to charge $1200 for. The consumer will buy the mp5 instead.
