Just finished the AR-V build and ready to race with it. I like to keep a spare parts kit for every gun I own, especially my competition guns. With that said, What spare parts should I put together for the AR-V? I know a firing pin is essential, but is the AR-V pin proprietary? Or can any PCC pin work?
One guy mentioned that his extractor spring went out at about 2000 rounds (see the thread “Extractor Spring Upgrade”). It’s probably a good idea to keep extras of those for all your ARs - he recommended the BCM 4 Coil and Rubber Post. Hope someone in the know replies about the firing pin.
I ended up getting the TACCOM firing pin/extractor combo. I have placed them in my bolt and keeping the factory parts as spares if something should go wrong. After that, most of the spare parts would be AR-15 parts.
