Anyone on the fence about getting a suppressor the approval times have changed drastically lately.
I certified my e file form 4 application for a sparrow 22 last friday , May 3rd.
It is amazing how well it shoots and sounds on my bolt action and Rock,
1 business day approval. Picked it up Today May 7th
But still have one in jail from january…
thats amazing. ive been thinking about doing it but i have heard it takes more time for those of us who use our Trusts
Ian has a little discussion about that subject - he recently submitted a Form for an associate of his, came back in less than 24 hours.
They’re trying to go around the lawsuit it’s fishy?
The unintended consequence for the ATF is that the more they approve, the closer to “in common use” we get. 
I was 3 days for my little sparrow. I’ve never burned through so much 22 before getting this thing 
Working on bouncing back my play funds, and still window shopping for either something for 556 or 9mm carbines in the meantime. ………open to suggestions

I hear the Rugged Obsidian 9 is a solid choice. Probably will be my next one. Alot of information out there and reviews. Have fun!

@djp729 do your research. My obsidian 9 is supposed to be delivered today from its 2nd trip back due to baffle and end cap strikes. Its a great can, but be prepared to send it back and it happens A LOT. Google is your friend.
Does the stack or shell move around excessively under heat and pressure?
Wow. I thought they corrected this and it was happening alot on the 45. So when you installed it did it worked ok then walked loose or something? Did it happen on rifle or pistol set up? No one needs the hassle of downtime of having fun thats for sure.
I dont know what the issue is…this time it was on their 3 lug, everything tight. Last time was the can walking loose while shooting a piatol match.
I think their tolerances are just too tight, and regardless of what it actually is, both the 45 wnd 9 are getting a reputation of being a can that will easily get strikes. As much as i love how it suppresses, i wont recommend it to anyone.
And I was this close to buying the 45
I am thinking they see they writing on the wall from the courts relaxng suppressor rules soon.
Pushing as many tax stamps through while they can collect they $!

Suppressed was usable without ears outdoors , at least amag or 2.
Ran 22lr first then the 5.7 to “clean” it out!
I have a yankee hill fat cat. Love this. It’s home is a 16inch AR. As quiet as my buddys surefire R3 on his 14.5. Mine was $500 with a free tax stamp. Now they’re $700 no free tax stamp. My 9am is also yankee hill R9. I think I paid $350. It may be $350 for the fat cat and $500 for the R9 but now the prices are waaaayyyy up
I just saw where some US Congressman has introduced a bill doing away with having to get a stamp to buy a suppressor. It won’t pass but at least it is getting some attention.
yeah they had one before called like the national hearing protection act or something… .i hope it gets traction and happens… i dont know if it will and if its like the last one itll just get bound up in committees so no telling.
