There is always that one guy!

I am a 60 year old, US Army Veteran, patent holder , blah blah, who cares, but what I am indicating is that I am not new to shooting. In fact, I started at 5. Dad was a ship security marksman in the Navy, during Korea. He taught me to shoot. I have been shooing for 55 years. I am always amazed that no matter what anyone posts, there is that one guy, you all know him, he is the “my stuff is better because I watched a youtoob video and some pew toober said to get xyz brand” , Thus making them the most expert of all experts. You post a link to a quality low cost product, and they flame you because they have Daniel Defense. How dare you have a anything else. It does not matter the forum though, cars, guns, recipes, bags, there is always that one ■■■■■■■ with more money than brains and he will rag on you for not having a $4000 watch, or using a Taurus pistol and not a Zev’d out Glock.

I just don’t see why they have to rain on everyone’s parade. I run PSA rifles. I carried M16 A1 and A2, and I have owned Colt HBAR, Rock River NM, and bang for the buck, PSA works.

Rant over. Flame on.

I’ve temperd my reactions to these armchair experts. These days I tend to laugh, them move on.

Others opinions are jut that, an opinion. If I gave a rat’s rear end of what people think of me I would not be getting much accomplished.

If someone is a fan boy of a brand, more power to them. I’m a tool using ape that knows enough to know, I’ve just scratched the tip of the icberg for my knowledge base.

Life is too short to be wasted on meaningless debate.

LOL, yeah.
My grandson has a buddy in the marines who is stationed here in the states and stays with us a few days a month. I took him to the range one day and he shot my Dagger and PSA AR. He loved them and remarked several times about my Gucci weapons. LOL, PSA = Gucci

What you described sounds like “The One Upper” or “Game Killer”

No matter what you’ve done they’ve done better and more. To me, PSA puts out a gun that is of good quality for the price and allows me to shoot more. Cause I gots to be a better shooter.

I prefer to get the most I can for my money, so I like brands like PSA, Ruger, Taurus, Rock Island, Stoeger, etc. I used to clash with the mentioned “more expensive is better!” types all the time, but realized after a while it’s usually all just bluster. The internet really can bring out the worst in people, especially those who just want to intentionally start arguments.

At the range, in person, face to face, people compliment each others’ firearms no matter what brand they are. There’s no arguing, no “mine is better”, all you get is a “that’s cool!” and a “how’s it shooting?”

Recently I had a guy come up and compliment me on my “Python”…it was my Taurus 689. He got a laugh out of it.

People are more polite when everyone is armed? Lol
Best argument in favor of mandatory concealed carry!

I’m a big fan of ‘you do you and I will do me”. The ‘pew toobers’ (love that one!) are a dime a dozen. If they are pushing something by a sponsor of theirs it’s an immediate red flag. I listen to other opinions but I make up my own mind. For example, CZ shotguns. I’ll admit that I’m a ‘fan boy’ of them but that’s based on my experience, not someone’s marketing push. I think they are one of the best values out there with a good balance of quality and costs. Again, based on my experience and mine alone. Bottom line, make an informed decision but be careful what you consider in making that decision. Remember, GIGO - garbage in, garbage out.

Only place they can be heard is the internet, in chats, Facebook, Twitter, YouTube and etc.
Because no one gives a dam about their opinion in real life.
The Internet has opened the door to idiots abroad.
“Keyboard Warriors” who haven’t a clue in life but to use their keyboard masterfully to arrange their opinion to what they believe to matter.
Before I “give a damn” about someone’s opinion, I need meet with them face to face, shake a man’s hand and drink a PBR.
Other than that… screw all this…including this post…I’ll take the meat and leave the bone.
:v:t2:

I was thinking Schlitz Malt Liquor but you’re talking about PBR. Way out of my league.

There is nothing worse than a mall ninja keyboard warrior.

:joy::+1:t2:. I’ll buy. :sunglasses::slightly_smiling_face:

Schlitz will give you Sheetz every time.

Those douchebags can’t hit a bull in the ■■■ with a bass fiddle anyway. They drive squatted trucks and live up on broke back mountain.:us_outlying_islands:

I know that’s right. I drink Schlitz now my Liver would put in for leave :joy:

My Dad drank that - it was the first beer I ever had.

^^^^^^Same here.

:rofl:. So glad those things are now not legal in SC. Not only are they stupid but i saw a major accident on i 20 where a squatted truck ended up on top of a sedan. The driver of the sedan was majorly hurt. As for gun stuff, ive always preferred a quality that is reliable. That for me is usually in the middle. Do i need a $3k optic? No. But will i settle for a $20 walmart optic? No. Plenty of reliable, affordable stuff without going to the world of Amazon/Chinese crap.

I’ve run across a few PSA haters as well when running my AK telling me I need a Zastava that cost $1.5k.

I just respond with “well I think this works best for me and my budget”. That usually ends the conversation.

I’m not a competitive marksman (yet, maybe) so I don’t need a rifle that has 1/32" MOA at 200 yards. I just need something that goes bang when I pull the trigger, hit what I’m aiming at, and will protect me if necessary.

Those “optics” really only serve a good purpose on airsoft guns or nerf guns

And yet people put them on ARs. While UTG now has a “pro” line, i cant tell you how many times i have seen folks using the airsoft version and bragging about it. Almost as many times as i have seen them break. All parts break, from cheap to expensive. But some are more reliable and come with a better manufacturer warranty. Primary Arms is a great example. Marshall and Co offer affordable optics with a great CS and warranty backing. Similar priced amazon/ebay optics do not, but folks brag about saving $20. Dollar Generals exist because cheap stuff breaks/doesnt work and people come back to still save money.
