Guys I may be behind the times on this one but even being a long time customer of PSA I hadn’t see this video. I became member of the PSA Forum two days after it started. I had heard how PSA got started but I didn’t know about this video. It makes me proud to support a company like this. It is totally awsome that yes PSA is an entirely American owned, ran and producing products by freedom loving Americans. I also didn’t know that PSA did tours of their manufacturing facilities. I need to check into this. I am not kissing anyones gluteus maximus here just posting this in case you are like me and somehow missed it. If this has already been posted on the forum before I apologize and a moderator can delete this thread. If not then it should have been posted way before now. For your viewing pleasure if like me you have never seen it.
Maximize freedom!!! Dude, I love that!
I’ve never met him but I’d love to. Tell him thanks!
he really is all about making the maximum amount of freedom… he’s a great guy… pretty much to me almost on genius level. and he’s got so much going on at any given moment if you catch him to say hi, its real fast!!! you can tell how fast his mind is moving when you talk to him too… He once gave me a private tour of one of their warehouses (back then it was their man building and corporate office for PSA, and man the amount of knowledge he has is amazing, and you wouldnt believe how much hes got going on all at once within the company too. if he’s spinning plates, its not 2, its more like 50. but yeah, Spread the freedom!!!
I believe that!
I know the feeling of having your mind going in a million different directions intentionally too. But yeah, I gotta talk him into stopping by my shop/shed one day….
Which probably won’t happen do to time constraints haha
That’s awesome! I hadn’t seen that video either, despite also being an early member here.
I think that I actually didn’t become a customer of PSA until 2010. I started just buying ammo. I wasn’t a big fan of the AR15 because of the issues we had with our M16A1s and sand. I didn’t own a AR15 for many years because of that. When PSA started selling AR components and you actually could build your own AR that peaked my interest. I could build exactly what I wanted and work on the issues that I had with the M16A1. The rest is history. I have lost track of how many PSA AR that I have now built for friends, family and myself. If for no other reason than that I am grateful to PSA for that. Another big bonus to me is they are in my home state and I am supporting a local business. The last reason for me to support PSA is something that I don’t hear people expressing that often. ARs are so much cheaper in price now because of PSA. PSA was selling a quality AR at a fraction of the price of every other manufacturer. Other manufacturers really didn’t have a choice but to lower their prices. It was’t long once the word got out about PSA they were giving all other manufacturers a run for their money and sales.
Steve I didn’t know about Jamin when I first started thinking about the same thing. Just from how fast that PSA grew as a company and kept adding products at a amazing pace it was obvious to me someone had a great business mind. When PSA started creating and selling their own different models of firearms at a time when most companies would still be trying to just grow their business, again it was obvious to me that someone knew what they were doing. Lastly when PSA started buying other companies so thst they could make everything in house is a great business plan. Jamin must be a student of Andrew Carnegie the steel tycoon of the 19th century. He became the richest man in America and probably the world. In today’s money he was worth over 10 billion dollars. Jamin’s business plan is exactly like Carnegie’s business plan. He made high quality steel cheaper than anyone else because he streamlined the processes of making steel and maximized the the productivity of his businesses. He also expanded his business and profits by buying all of the companies that supplied has raw materials. Streamlining them and also maxiimized their output made producing quality steel even cheaper so that nobody could compete. When a competitor went out of business or was just about to Carnegie would buy them out and expand his operations. Jamin is also like Carnegie in that he was hard nosed businessman but he was also a huge philanthropist. He literally gave away most of his billions of dollars. He really wanted to produce a high quality product at a very affordable price.
yeah they do some incredible stuff and have been doing some real incredible stuff over the years. Most of it was hard work, some of it was luck, and some yet others with being in the right place at the right time. All that shaken up into a neat pile = PSA and JJE. You mentioned the buying of the other companies, and that is wise so they can build in house all their own stuff, yes, but it also permits JJE to diversify and make other things, so that in case the gun industry gets banned on things, they wont be unable to make money, as they can still produce and sell other products. so yes brilliant. I’m not sure if he’s a fan /student of Carnegie or not, but it would make sense. I personally cannot wait to see what the future brings for PSA/JJE. The more that Jamin can spread Freedom the more i love it… and the more America benefits Its pretty awesome to be around them and to be watching all that they’ve done since 08ish… My bro and i remember buying from jamin and co. when they just had a table at the gunshows locally. and look at them now!
Maybe just great minds think alike. I remember reading about all of the business tycoons of the 19th & 20th century. It was incredible what they accomplished especially with the state of our Country during some of those times.
All Pre-Rich men North of Richmond.
yeah it could be great minds. i definitely think that those type of men who created great companies like that are all from the same cloth. Jamin in my opinion has done much as they did in their time with their conditions, in our conditions now. The only difference i can see is back then they were not fighting to spread freedom, as they had that in abundance. Sadly we have had so much of it stolen from us over the decades i am unsure if we will ever make enough headway to get it back to how it was back then.

spitball that for me, what are you thinking logo wise, and selector word wise? if its good i may see if we can get it done.
Actually I would have do disagree to a certain extent. America fought 5 wars from 1840- 1940. They are roughly spread 20 years apart. That isn’t counting the “war” between America and the American Indians during the whole last half of the 19th century. You had the Civil War in the middle of the 1860’s in America. The great depression in Europe after the Civil War. The our nation was in shambles after the Civil War and we had a depression in America after the Civil War. The first world war. The great depression after WW1. Then you had WWII in Europe. Our nation was in chaos pretty much of the time. We couldn’t fully recover from one before we were thrown into the next one. Comparing the two you have conflict and discord in both. Political unrest in both. One big difference was you pretty much a real war between the industrial giants. There was murders, sabotage, kidnappings, extortion, blackmail, bribery and in many cases they hired their own “police” forces. In essence at that time the giants basically had the power to shut down America so no one opposed them in government. Government just let them fight it out amongst themselves.

mmm… i will have to disagree too, because back then there wasnt really alot of actual nationwide police departments. the country was too young to have them like we do today. and today im sure there is a lot of etortion blackmail and bribery giong on in industry as well as sabotage. idk… eitherway im just trying to sing the praises of Jamin and company for the way they’ve made this company thus far! i didnt mean to get that deep into history lol.
I know but a history nerd has to talk history. I agree either way that Jamin does really stand out in todays world of greedy corporation CEOs that will do anything for the almighty dollar. We both agree that he is a one hell of a patriotic guy and that is why I started this thread to recognize how he stands out in today society. I would kill for him to give me a personal tour of his gun collection. I bet that he has stuff that makes my little collection look like a beginners collection. I am sure that his pockets are way way deeper than mine though.
funny you say you’d kill for a tour, you wont have to though.
he’s opening a PSA museum, where alot of his goodies will be on display. its gonna be at the new myrtle beach store, on the upper floor(s)
yeah he’s brilliant. i wish i coulda been smart enough to have done what he did lol.
I remember when the store was under construction / renovation and thinking this ain’t a throw temp walls/stub walls, wire and viola here’s your store. 2 story firing range and a museum, nah.
You could probably go cheaper on the build but you’d pay any difference and more in insurance over the years.
yeah its gonna be wild, i dont wanna know how much money its costing to create the store, range and museum
