Already decided
-AR-V will do either Geisselle or PSA, already decided
To be decided
-AK-V. Would like either Geisselle or PSA but dont know if feasible?
-PX9. Also would like either Geisselle or PSA but dont know if feasible?
I already have extra PSA 2 stage triggers in my possession. I also have a PS single stage trigger but would have to remove it from another [AR15] lower. I could buy additional Geisselle trigger(s) if worth it. I would not want to buy more of any special trigger without knowing first they will fit correctly into AK-V andor PX9.
I am having trouble getting Franklin binary to run reliably in my arv. Any spring combinations that work that I havenāt tried? Or do I just need the feed ramp polished? That what the problem seems to be, getting stuck when feeding
Good topic in this string. After reading through it I purchased a LaRue (2 stage) what was on sale. It has functioned without issue for about 200 rounds, installation was what you would expect, and it offers a very nice & light trigger pull. There really wasnāt anything wrong with the stock PSA trigger, it was just time to time to try something different.
I have the same LaRue on another AR and itās impressive. They also have a āTrigger Action Chassisā (a plastic, neutered lower) to practice trigger assembly/disassembly. I need to do that about another 100 times to get comfortable with it, but Iāll probably lose a bunch of detent pins and springs.
Whats your opinion on the alg act trigger? I like the alg in my akv so much i wanted to get one for the arv im getting too. I have a giessele ssae in my gen 3 ar10 and of course its amazing but didnt want to spend that much in the arv but I do need it to be reliable.
since few months PSA AR-V are available in my country and Iām thinking about building my PCC on this platform. Does anyone know if the POF trigger will work with it?
I have this trigger on my AR and i absolutely love it, would be great to use it on my PCC.
Good morn all! First post and found the topic Iām looking for. My wife wants me to install a trigger (girl fingers) for a SSA-EX 2 stage. Iāve read the ARV works with geissele 2 stages, but Iām hoping for a definitive before I buy her an almost 400$ trigger. Has anyone had success using the above combo?
Side not she bought the ARV and now I want one. Iām just waiting for the builders kit cuz Iād like to use a Ballistic advantage barrel. Anywho we put almost 300 rounds of 124 AAC through it with no problem. Just ordered her more PSA mags.
Iām going to preface this by saying that I donāt have an AR-V myself but I have several AR style PCC variants. I was steered away from using Geissele triggers in my PCC builds by Geissele themselves. I like them in my other caliber ARs but even on their website they added a disclaimer to avoid them in blowback ARs. They recommended the ALG ACT triggers (Geisseleās sister company).
Hereās a screenshot from Geisseleās website:
So why donāt they recommend them? Not really sure, the CS rep just said the hammer will fail. I understand their hammers are not hardened to deal with the impact from the blowback bolt, some users reported the hammer getting peened. Other people with Colt pattern bolts reported no issues while the Glock/Hybrid pattern bolts had the problem. Is an AR-V a Colt pattern bolt? Maybe it would be fine then?
