I’ve been heavily involved in this issue and there is a little bit more to this than what everyone is seeing. The goal with zero tax is to be able to take the NFA to court and have it be ruled unconstitutional. There is a court case where zero dollar taxes were determined to be unconstitutional. As soon as zero dollar tax passes we are filing the lawsuit. With the parliamentarian throwing out full removal this is our next best option to get suppressors/sbr etc out of the NFA.

Dear Mr. Vice President,
It is my understanding that you have the power to overrule the senate parliamentarian. As a strong second amendment supporter, I am appalled at her egregiously partisan actions in removing the changes to the National Firearms Act taxes from the Big Beautiful Bill that would have removed suppressors and short barreled rifles using language from the Hearing Protection Act and the SHORT act.
This NFA is purely a tax. You fill out an application to pay a tax, submit a $200 tax payment, and receive a tax stamp. The process to do so is burdensome and onerous, not to mention it is a clear infringement on Americans’ civil rights.
Please, have the courage to give American gun owners this win by overruling the senate parliamentarian. We have been loyal Republican voters for many decades, but we rarely if ever get anything in return. This bill was the best chance we have had in most people’s lifetimes to see real progress toward restoring our second amendment rights. Please don’t squander this monumental opportunity.

Harry Reid appointed her when he was ML under Obama, McConnell kept her as a second line of defense in case anything we wanted but he didn’t got out of committee, and now McConnell’ bendover-boyfriend Temu Mitch is doin the same thing.

her position is the most powerful position in the government. she can basically alter bills that have been passed in the house, and straight up alter those bills so that the senate never sees what was in them to begin with so that they never even gets a chance to vote on the subjects. its a damn shame that our government put someone who is UNELECTED into a position of that much power, that cant be fired by anyone but the majority leader… (in this case was appointed under harry reids man) not even the VP can fire the Parliamentarian.. which is B.S. how they got that position passed in the first place baffles me.. 1935 was a different era i know, but dang.. and how that position has still existed since then, and has not been widly heard of and discussed i’ll never know .. that just baffles me. . I am so fired up over this position i may as well have a stroke.
