Vertical grips on PSA AR 15 pistol

Hello, I’ve edited this thread. I went to the ATF website and read the rule directly from thrm. I’m now interested in which grips that you fine gents have installed on your pistols.
On my full size AR, I do have the Magpul angle grip. I don’t like it for a large rifle. So I might use it on the pistol and buy a vertical grip for the rifle .
Thank you

No vertical fore grip on a pistol

You’d have to SBR it, then you can add one

Just get a handstop, there’s a ton of different options out there, some are small nubs that just give your hand something to rest against and prevent it from sliding forward as you hold the handguard, others are larger and will give your entire hand an area to grip/rest in.

I personally hate the angled foregrip by magpul, i prefer the handstop if your going that brand.
I have a viridian laser thats a handstop, just a little nub for your index finger, rest of hand is a c clamp basically, i like it alot, very comfortable. Its pretty sick.

Here is the link to the ATF Chapter 2. It is a PDF. Read it .
Never take advice from internet forums, I might be a crazy person.
Here is what ATF says about it:

However, certain alterations to a pistol or revolver, such as the addition of a second vertical handgrip, create a weapon that no longer meets the definition of pistol or revolver.14 A pistol or revolver modified as described is an “any other weapon” subject to the NFA because the weapon is not designed to be fired when held in one hand.

Thanks. I couldn’t sleep last night so about 3 AM, I went to the ATF website and read it. I should have edited my original post to only options.
Thank you for the helpful reminder.

I tend to use the magpul m-lok hand stop, or the AFg 2 i think it is, I dont prefer the angled short forward grips much on pistols.

I think this looks great, if it works!

Not legal on a pistol unless it’s SBR’d, it’s a vertical grip.

And…quite a busy one, at that.

Hey guys, question. I have a LeadStar Grunt AR-15 and I want to add a vertical grip but the underside is not compatible. What type of adapter or grip do I need to work with the Grunt??

what type of handguard do you have is the big question. Is it keymod, picitinny, or Mlock? or is it something else entirely? if you have photos of it it would be much helpful.

I figured it out. My AR handgrip comes with M-LOK holes. I will use those. Thanks for the responses.
