I’m just saying iirc there are states out there with laws that state unless the candidate is dead or something like that the delegates must vote per the their primary.

Yes. The candidate has delegates who are attached to them regardless of nomination, much like superdelegates. The only way out is death, and a lawsuit cant be filled and ruled on quick enough.
Delegates at this point are “pledged”, they are not “committed”

I think that you guys are forgetting one thing, the 25th Amendment. If a President becomes incapacitated or can no longer fulfill the duties and responsibilities of the office of the President for whatever reason he can be removed from office. If the Vice President and a majority of the individuals in the executive brach or the Vice President and a majority of Congress deem him unfit his removal from office can b3 done pretty quick. If FJB is removed from office fhen he cannot run for another term for the office of the President. At that point federal law overrules state law. RFK could then change his party from the independent back to the democrat party. There are ways to get Biden out of the way. Right now if FJB was forced to take a cognitive test the would be ruled unfit. FJB wasn’t charged for having the classified documents in his garage because the Special Counsel ruleed that he was incompetent to stand trial for those charges. What else do you need to know? FJB can be removed and not be able to run agsin.
