Where ever you place it….be sure to do some dry runs with a clear gun. The placement affects the “spill”. If the light is too far forward it’s going to get carbon deposited on the lens. If it’s mounted too far back there will be a shadow cast by the spill from the barrel & handguard. Forward is better because the average guy is not going to be shooting it a lot at night….and your not going to worry about carbon on the light. You definitely want good illumination without any shadows.

I have a Streamlight Protac with the tape switch on top of the rail on my 10.5 at the 2 position due to the BCM light mount. Pic of my 10.5 in the PSA AR15 Picture thread.
My concern it’s 3" less in length with the 7" pistol.
I guess I’ll get another!

If you got the $$$$ spend it. If your on a budget , you can move it from one gun to another. Why not. Plus if you keep your tape switch in the same place…. It’s operation becomes instinctive.
Looks like a well set up rifle.
By the way……post pic of your gun…so we don’t have to jump from thread to thread. (Show it like your proud of it !)

7" Marauder Upper
PSA Shockwave EPT Pistol Lower
Inforce WML Gen2 Weapon Light. Wanted more compact and less furniture on this build.
Romeo and Juliet Green Dot and Magnifier.
All were purchased from PSA except the Inforce. Inforce Amazon store site included the 5-slot rail. Doesn’t seem to be available together now. Kinda lucked out on that, I guess.
