Why are barrel lengths not posted in item descriptions for Dagger pistols? This is a basic piece of information, yet in many cases, barrel lengths can’t be found anywhere in an item description.
Not only are barrel lengths not in item descriptions, but you can’t search on barrel length, either - it is not a criterion you can choose from on the left side when narrowing down your search.
This is pretty frustrating, especially since this pistol has been out for a while.
As of now, there are only 2 different lengths of Dagger barrels available. Both are compact barrels, the only difference being threaded vs non-threaded. There is an option on the left to filter by threaded vs non. In the future as more options are added (micro and full size barrels for example), having the ability to sort by actual length might be helpful. Keep in mind, most people aren’t even aware of compact, full size or micro barrel length in terms of inches.
I guess I thought people might actually be helpful here. Or that PSA might be monitoring the forum and answering questions.
The links I posted are to pistols where the barrel length is not given. At all. Anywhere. Some pistols have barrel length, those do not. It is those I am asking about.
I’m also asking why there is no capability to sort by barrel length, since there are so many iterations of the pistol. Going through them one by one is tedious, and unnecessary, if a sort was there.
mattbbb14, are you saying that full-size pistols only have compact barrels, am I understanding you correctly? That seems to be what you are saying.
Did anyone follow the links that I posted, or is everyone just so concerned with telling my how wrong I am that my question is ignored?
If this is the kind of assistance the “regulars” are offering me, davidlanddonjr, then I don’t know what to say. Did you follow the links I posted?
I followed the links and you are correct, barrel length is not listed. The answer you seek is immediately obvious if you review the barrels offered. If it’s not threaded 3.9". If it is threaded 4.5". You’re question has been answered both explicitly and implicitly. I’m not trying to be rude, but the search option is already there, threaded or non-threaded.
We currently only sell compact barrels… Don’t let the Full size - SX Dagger fool you. While the barrel length is 4.5in, we don’t sell the barrel by itself yet. The only Dagger barrels on the website are compact barrels. And the only difference between all of them is whether they’re threaded or not.
Palmetto is a grown up company now. They need to have the IT guys to develop a template with standard information across the platform. Things like Barrel length, how much the assembled unit weights (people processes about this) and lengths. As it is now, once you offer a new barrel length version, you will either confuse the customers, or you will have to go and amend all the existing web pages for the product, go through another cycle of proofing and error checking.
I still don’t know what Freedom, Classic, and Freedom Classic lowers are, yet they seem to be terms applied inconsistently.
Classic: standard furniture, mil spec.
Freedom: upgraded furniture (i.e. Magpul and such)
Premium: freedom+ upgraded components such as a CHF barrel.
Sabre: all premium with premium aftermarket parts.
The Dagger is a Glock G19 Gen3 clone. The Glock G19 G3 and pretty much all G19 G3 clones have 4" barrels, the threaded barrels are 1/2" longer. That information is readily available everywhere and most of us here figure anyone looking for a G19 clone would know that. I don’t work for PSA and I’m not a moderator, I’m not a vet and I’ve never had any Glock or Glock clone before but really, finding this information wasn’t all that hard.
Barrel lenth description on listed firearms are not as important to me than missing weight, especially on rifles. I’ve leaned when it comes to complete and correct specifications, you have to go to the manufacturer website. With regard to PSA manufactured firearms, their prices are so reasonable, work ethic so principled, and reputation so good, I trust them enough to just pull the purchase trigger. Perhaps a bit too trusting.
This isn’t hate so much as it’s frustration. You asked a question, a rather pointed question. You got the answer right away. Over and over. A firearm purchase is not a small thing and should be researched. When I bought my Dagger I thought the barrel choice was kind of simple, threaded or unthreaded. I ended up getting both. Suddenly the choices now include TiN, Nickle, straight fluted, twisted flute, honeycomb, polka dots and more. But one thing stays consistent, 4" and 4.5". Your question is answered. No hate. Just answered.
