Why is my new AR15 firing twice every time I pull the trigger?

Is it fireing twice with the trigger pulled back
then letting it go, or is it fireing when you pull the trigger back and then again when you let it go.

Would a video help everyone help diagnose the problem, are would a video be a bad idea and bring visitors to his house.

I think visitors are already in many houses and have been for quite some time just browsing and looking around. IMO, Saw info in another place. In this case, it’s a malfunction the OP is trying to resolve but as stated above they need pictures first to check configuration.

Make sure the brain-housing-group is pulling the trigger 1 time. An old military range instructor term used.

I’ve got a new problem: The buffer retainer pin and spring come out when I release the charging handle. Jams-up the works.

Buffer tube may not be screwed in far enough

Buffer tube should capture the pin and spring. If it doesnt, screw it in another turn until it does.

theres tons of vids on how to properly assemble a lower receiver

you gonna hurt yourself if you keep winging it

Thank you for your help, I would taken a long time for me to figured that one out by my self!
