So I’ve decided the AK-V is going to be my next gun purchase. Can’t decide on which color/ hand guard /style to go with (besides triangle folding brace). I dig the classic look of the wood furniture. Are the wood grips an issue as far as comfort compared to the Magpul grips. No experience with a firearm with a wood grip. Thanks for any opinions.

idk you might get a splinter, i prefer polymer…

I have an AKV with a wood grip. There is no issue with comfort. If you prefer texture for better handling then maybe look into a bakelite style grip which still has a classic look but is textured plastic.

I have the original wood furniture that came with mine. Swapped it out for Magpul. Felt like the originals were too “skinny” (for lack of a better term) and slippery.
