Woodsey knife stuff

Mors Kochanski try stick reimagined as a log. Log carving subsequently named the “Do Log” because, trying implies failure.

The above was carved with the full sized Tom Brown Tracker by TOPS knives. It was bought new, so any finish wear was from hard use. The Do Log is proped up on a bench i built in the woods as a close to home practice spot.

Feel free to post up shelters, camp furniture or stuff you built in the woods. If you needed a shovel or a saw to complete a project, thats ok. However, lets try to keep this knife centered

Couple examples:

Above, 1 of 2 tripods for a tarp ridge line, note some branch stubs left on for gear hangers.
Shotgun included in photo for keeping it gun related

Fire reflector wall, used a knife and lump of coal from the fire pit to mark and draw knife down high spots, closing the gap on the horizontal logs. Uprights planted 15" in soil after using a shovel to dig the holes.

Almost forgot, spoons!
Most of these used a mora spoon knife for the bowl, one was knife only.

Ive never had much luck doing video direct to a forum. Always had to go through my YouTube with a link to the off forum host.

Did a 4 knife comparison field test for notch carving & chopping…

About a week later I got out to the same spot with a tomahawk, which obviously outperformed in chopping.
