I go from hot to cold on the X57. The practical side of me is wondering what would be an application for this type of firearm. Home defense is the only thing I can come up with. Yeah it’s cool, but I’m not into owning cool stuff for cool’s sake.

Just an update…we SHOULD see mags before the gun is released. Also, the Rock Compact (which will accept Rock 5.7 and x5.7 mags) is close to testing phase from what i understand.

If they do a 10 pack of those 40 round mags like they do for the standard Rock magazines I will lose my mind and my budget will scream in pain but I will not heed it

Update: 9.13.2024
Aluminum upper instead of polymer.
Glock front and rear sights.
Threaded inside of upper receiver for barrel shroud.
Mag extension less bulky, added flared lip to bottom for easy removal.
Still a 2025 project.

Yeah I mean we definitely better watch out because like every election my entire life people are saying that Democrats are coming for your guns!
I mean sure Trump did more to restrict various gun accessories than any Democrat has in the last 20 years, but I’m sure this will be the year that finally that load of crap comes true.
Harris and walz are both gun owners and the likelihood of them getting a congress with enough votes for any noteworthy impact on gun ownership is very low. But hey the NRA needs your money so keep spreading that.
That being said, I really don’t want this topic to get locked, so if we could please keep focused on reality that would be great.
