Really wanting the M90, also really wanting a gun like the AKV or ARV. Since I can only get one it’s making my brain hurt. Which should I get?!?!

Are you looking for a range toy, a truck gun, a home defense gun, something for hunting? Are you looking to customize it or leave it as is? They’re two different calibers and two different platforms, one more customizable than the other. Without more info it’s like asking if I should buy a Honda Civic or a Jeep Wrangler.

More along the lines of range toy. Maybe home defense? I have a handful of guns that already fill that role though. So I guess more range toy
M90 seems like an AK that uses 5.56. PSA is releasing one soon (? AK-101 - 102). That would be nice to have, although a JAKL could easily fill in for it 
AK-V and AR-V being 9mm fill another niche that would also be nice to have. AK guys would probably argue long and hard to get the AK-V, and, while I would agree with most of what they say, I bought the AR-V because of its extendibility. When the PA-5 come out, it will easily fill in for either!
So, yes. I agree strongly both ways.

In all seriousness, I think you’ll enjoy owning any of them. While I don’t have a 5.56 ak yet (soon^tm), the little mousefart slinging ak I do have is one of my go-to grabs. A stand-in for the ar-v you’re looking at is runner-up. And if an akv finds its way into my budget one day, that will no doubt sit in top 5. The one thing I would say to look into is feeding issues on some 9mm defensive rounds. Not a problem for a range toy, but worth knowing about JIC.

AK operators Union recommends you try to get your “imported” Eastern European AK….as those guns are here today……however they Could be banned by political leaders at any time….for no reason at all.
AKV and ARV……or PSA AKs are always a great value.
Just get what is going to give you the most fun & satisfaction. Enjoy the your 2nd Amendment rights….and most of all….post here so we can enjoy the ride with you.

Well no sense in starting a new thread 
picked up my m90 Thursday evening, and began break in today. Simultaneously testing the psa 556 smooth side mags. Ran several magazines between the zastava zmags and the 2 psa I’ve just received in the mail. The rifle is ridiculously smooth even with the omega 300 can on it. Really caught me off guard on the first shot how different it is to a 762 AK. She’ll do just fine alright. The psa mags worked flawlessly, fit easily yet snug, and snapped in very crisply. Love the rifle and highly recommend the psa mags if you need some. Over and out
