So, not sure if anyone would have experience with this question but PSA has their 10.5" complete upper kits with the flash can. I know the flash can is recessed into the hand rail some. Does this nullify the use of the mlok sections at the end or are they still usable? Is there enough space there?
The front part is probably unusable, but you should be able to utilize the back of the first section. About one inch of the slant tip doesn’t have the m-lok anyways.
IIRC Magpul sells shorter screws also.
I used shorter screws and didn’t have any issues. The flash can on my 8.5 inch PSA .300 Black Out upper is around 3 inches into the rail.
Awesome! That helps a lot. Really appreciate it fellas.
Standard length m-Lok screws DO NOT work with the flash can.
You can still use it even over the gas block but may need to add a washer or use a shorter screw but I used mine with hand guard covers with no problem
Function aside… that fluted flash can recessed into the angled mlok rail looks bad ass
Nice setup
How did you get mlok nuts to clear flash can?
Looks good
Several places sell shorter mlok screws.
I removed the muzzle break and milled it down, then re-blued it
I did know that but didn’t know if even the shorter screws will clear that flash can
They should.
