If you aren’t familiar with disassembling a 1911 read this first before you try to disassemble one. It is very easy to do the famous “Idiot scratch” on a 1911. Nothing will piss you off more than to have a nice new beautiful 1911 and to put a big scratch on your new frame.

if i had a nickle for every 1911 ive bought used that had that scratch i’d be rich. you are right though its insanely easy to do unfortunately
