Had to wear 4 layers, gloves, and a toboggan as it’s 33° outside. I hate being cold.
Your commitment is commendable. Kudos, sir.
It’s my ADHD.

First official day of retirement. 2.5 mile hike w/90 push-ups.
Congratulations! And good job on the exercise - especially 90 pushups

LOL thanks but don’t overestimate me. That was three sets of 30.
Don’t underestimate yourself. There’s plenty of people decades from retirement that can’t even come close to one set of 30.

2.5 mile hike, 90 push-ups, 150 squats. Should have held squats to 100, I was walking kind of jelly legged for about 10 steps after the last set of 50.
Had a physical today and from the looks of it the daily walks are paying off:
Have dropped another 11 lbs in 5 weeks I am now down 35-40 lbs from 2 years ago.
My A1C has dropped in 4 months from 10.4 to 6.8 and in the same time period my fasting blood sugar has gone from 152 to 105.
My BP today was 99/60. As I am feeling fatigued my BP med is being cut in half and the readings monitored as I may not have to take as much due to weight loss.
Good job @ThePontificator !

I suppose I could keep this on a spreadsheet rather than here
It’s been great seeing others’ health issues overcome, some big mileage, and other accomplishment. Great motivation! I probably live here too much for my (pocket-book’s) own good.
I tried a spreadsheet…didn’t work because it didn’t have peer support. You are doing great, keep it up. Anything is better than sitting on your butt all day.
Took Saturday off to
and take Sundays off anyways. Added 5 reps on most ab exercises and 10 seconds to my planks yesterday. Added one rep on dumbbell bench press today and focused on doing my curls super slow today. I’ve had good form, but I could feel my biceps exploding today.

Well, my desire to contribute was the proverbial last straw, so last night I started my build up to getting into a daily exercise routine. Making some more deliberate nutrition choices as well, going forward. Since I haven’t exercised on purpose since high school, which was over 2 decades ago, I’m starting with stretches and 30 min cardio for two weeks, so I don’t overdo it and quit prematurely. But, day 1 of 14-day habit build went well.
Thanks for making me feel like a slacker for not participating. Worked as a motivator. I won’t do daily updates because its a bit off-topic for a running thread, but maybe I’ll toot my horn at milestones.
Anything we can do to help. Even the smallest bit of exercise can be a big help. I’ve noticed how much more stable I am aiming my rifle and pistol just from using simple 5 lb weights and doing shoulder exercises.
