.22 LR Uppers coming back in stock?

I’ve read too many BCA stories to ever use them. Hell, I can accept scratches. Poor function out of the box, no. i’m no gunsmith. And I don’t like being told ā€œNEWā€ when it’s ā€œNEEDS TLCā€!

I’ve been watching for PSA .22LR uppers for, literally, months - hope my waiting ends soon.

I think I’m going to try out the CMMG conversion kit

i have the CMMG kit but it is the PSA version… .looks the same damn thing, functions that way too. when i had bought it, i was told by a source at psa that no longer works there its the same thing as the CMMG one, just sold unpackaged as cmmg. mine back then only came with 1 magazine, so this one with 3 mags is a heck of a deal. For additional magazines you will want Black Dog Metal lipped magazines. the ones i have are in Smoke for the plastic. they run great in the conversion kit, and when im done, i simply run a mag or two of .556 or 2.23 after ive shot all the .22 i wanted to through the gun again to blow out any excess carbon build up… its a great kit, easy to use, easy to clean and still keeps your .22 very accurate amazingly enough. i highly recommend it.

The 32 rounders from Black Dog work fine as well. Not sure the 32 rounders have been out very long. USPS dropped one order and it bent one of the feed lips. I just bent it back with a pair of needlenose.

yes those are the ones i mentioned abo ve. Not only are they excellent magazines but black dog also sells mag rebuild kits for a low sum of like 5 bucks for 3 mag kit. Again though i suggest you get the mags with the Steel Lips and not the plastic ones.

True, plastic would have likely been broken.

I have that CMMG kit as well,
I added the 22lr Charging handle to stop cases from jamming in the open area under the regular one. Worth adding.
I use it in a PSA 556 upper sitting on a FA lower with binary, 32 round mags help… good times!

What happened to the BCA upper?

I could not get it to fed, fire and or when it did eject. It came scratched as you can see in the pics. That l could live with but unable to get it to run was the deal breaker. The pic with a live round in the chamber that was struck by the firing pin. That’s how l shipped it back with a ā€œwarning live rnd in chamberā€. BCG was not installed when l shipped it back.
