me either, just checked their site this weekend…glad i did
Welp - I also have been waiting on 22LR Uppers … and now the entire page for 22 Uppers is 404 gone dead nada missing … so I guess a PSA 22 Upper is a pipe dream now …
They are the only ones (PSA) that had a 4-inch barrel that I was looking for at the right price. Everything else was 2X the price…
Different post but @Josiah_PSA said they might make more but that was 2Yrs ago …
Any new news … ?
Thanks

I’ve been waiting a long time too and am not sure they’ll be making the .22lr upper anymore since it’s been about a year. Anyone know anything about how the RightToBear uppers are?
RTB is gtg.
Never heard a bad review on their .22lr uppers. I have only ordered a few parts from them, once. No complaints. Except we’re in the same state and I have to pay sales tax ![]()
That would be a shame if they don’t make anymore. I have 2 and wish I had bought a 3rd. Must not be a $ maker for them.
Right To Bear has .22lr uppers on sale.
I got my RTB last week but haven’t been about to take it out yet. Used one of my PSA lowers that I’ve been saving for such an occasion. The action is smooth; hand-cycled about 25 rounds without any hangups. It’s my first .22LR AR upper and it takes a little getting used to when using the charging handle - the action is quite a bit shorter than the 5.56/.223-length, so it’s easy to pull too hard.
It’s nice looking to boot! Really difficult to distinguish between it and a regular AR-15 (sort of, although I know what to look for). As long as it’s greased up well, I don’t think you’ll see any issues.
I’ve never even looked at 22 uppers but since seeing this post I went and looked at RTB.
The upper on sale is $300 without tax or shipping. Is that a good price?
Then add in a lower, sights and mags your what $500+ in total cost?
Again I’ve never looked at or priced these but the M&P here is $499 plus tax and free shipping.
Just asking ![]()
I’d put my hands on an M-P first. I have and didn’t care for it too much.
Agreed, I literally went to my lgs with every intention of picking one up. Put my hands on it and was like ‘no thanks’. Bought a .22lr bolt gun instead…lol.
The RTB at $300 is a good price as they’re normally $400 or so. Make sure it comes with the BCG and charging handle, and it’s good to get a couple of mags that work with it. They have CMMG mags; I had picked up Black Dog mags in anticipation of the PSA upper, and they also hand-cycle well.
Ihave some BD mags as well. They are gtg!
I personally want to go with an upper vs. the M&P 22 because I want to keep proprietary parts requirements to a minimum, and I want to be able to shoot more with the 2 lowers we already use.
Thanks ![]()
Thank you ![]()
10-4 thanks ![]()
I love my M&P. 22 pistol. I’d consider getting the 16" rifle as well.
The polymer lower makes is very light. You may or may not prefer that based off your personal preference.
FWIW I have had a BCA 22 upper for over a year now on a franklin binary lower and lots of black dog magazines Great fun for cheap. add my 22 suppressor and sub ammo and almost all you hear is the round hitting the backstop dirt. Same for the 17HMR upper they offer (my 5.7 wannabe upper). Both well worth price.
