Can somebody post a picture of the current (within 1-yr?) PSA 9mm barrel feed cone?
I am thinking of buying the Memorial Day sale complete upper 16", with BCG & charging handle. But wonder about feeding Winchester M1152 flat nose bullets. Commercially they call it 115gr “Service Grade”.
The only barrels i have seen run those reliably are ones altered by Rudy at Macon Armory.
Ballistic Advantage about a year ago changed the feed cone/entry of their 9mm AR barrels. It looks a lot like the Macon modification. I ordered their barrel through B. Kings Firearms (Aero Precision sells them also).

That’s the Angle I needed!
I had a couple barrels, and I had a lathe - but I didn’t want to experiment with the angle… ![]()
(honestly, I suspected it would probably be somewhere around 60-degrees off the bore-axis - 62 it is!)
This is where I got the info. YouTube of a guy returning/exchanging in 2023.

Nets 124 deg
I completed my 9mm PCC build and range tested it.
Uses the Ballistic Advantage 16" barrel with enhanced feed cone (124 deg).
Everything went well, no feed or eject problems. Shot 5 types of ammo.

1525 fps Winchester 115gr M1152 FMJ-FN “Service Grade” (Flat nose or Truncated flat nose)
1435 fps Hornady 124gr XTP HP +P American Gunner (Hollow Point, defense ammo)
Wow, those are impressive velocities from 9mm Luger (9x19) handgun ammo. That military M1152 commercial version sold by Winchester is wicked fast from a 16” barrel. And that Hornady +P 124gr was moving fast too.
A couple days later, I bought and fired some AAC 9mm 124gn XTP (Hornady hollow point bullets). It worked flawlessly and cost less than buying the Hornady branded.
Yeah I have a newer Aero 9mm barrel (also Ballistic Advantage) and was in awe of the feed cone!
Impressive input! And welcome to the PSA forum ![]()
