I have a PSA mid length upper with the A2 front sight and it shoots far to the right. To zero at 25 meters I need to move the rear sight 16 clicks left from center. This can’t be right.
I am using magpul sights. I even tried swapping the rear sight from another upper. Still the same results, 16 clicks left from center to zero.
Any suggestions?

Pictures would help a lot here. If they’re too far off center we could see that, “16 clicks” is relative to what is a the definition of a click.

Do you wear prescription glasses? Towards the edges of the lens the glass is thicker and curved, this bends the light, and you will shoot off center big-time. Reposition your eye to look more directly through the center of the lens of your shooting eye to correct this.

I had a similar problem last year with 2 of 3 uppers I had bought. The front sight was canted to the left. This is very common with many manufacturers . Psa makes a decent product at an awesome price, but the customer service folks leave something to be desired. They sent one back not repaired and the other they lost (they were confused what upper they had sent back). I made an angry post on this forum and had to get with the BBB to make it right. My advice is to slog through the customer service process and try to make it right. As for me I only own one Psa carbine, and its one that came perfect on day one. Sold the others and have not spent a dime since with Psa. Dear Psa, please fix your customer service and I will give you my expendable income again. Love what your doing with the dagger.

Thanks for advice.
Attached are pictures from today at range.
I attached the rear sight to upper one and set it to zero

Fired two shots with point of aim one at upper center mass and two at lower center mass

Point of impact was 3.5 inches to the right.
This is firing from 25 yards

I then moved the rear sight aperture 15

“clicks” of the windage knob to the left to move the point of impact leftward

I then removed the rear sight and installed it on to a new never fired upper and re-centered the aperture. Same 25 yards duplicate target.

Thats not too bad honestly, although I understand your concern. A quick search on google will show many opinions on what is within “spec”. Ive seen from 5 to 22 clicks is acceptable. Mine were something like 19 if I remember.

Wifey has a new toy that cost twice as much, with all components, sights, red dot, from one brand and we got this. Shoots great, and we are so wooded, I cant see 300 yards. So I will never need anymore windage.

I think im just going to make that upper my dedicated .22lr conversion upper.

@ZoMcYo Nicole, I hate that you had such a horrible experience with the customer service. I would urge you to please try again. I know no one is ever perfect, but i truly think that was one of those anomolys that happen sometimes. Yes theyve had issues with customer service. but if you saw the numbers of problems versus no problems you’d see that they are in the minority when it comes to issues with the rifles. Besides, i dont know if you had engaged Josiah here when you had issues, but if you didnt we can utilize him and anthony to try to get things better if needed. As for the dagger, I have a couple and love them. I’m sure you would too if you were to take the jump into them. thanks for posting up, and i hope you can find it time to give PSA a second try again. Thanks for hearing me out.
