The gun will run sub 150’s fine without the can, but with the can on, it constantly jams. Tried the same with 115 blazer with the can on and it cycles fine. Don’t get it. It can’t be a timing issue due to increased pressure because supersonic 115’s run fine suppressed. Can is a DA wolf man
Try different buffer?
Does palmetto make a different buffer?
I don’t know how the buffer would cause this….
What buffer weight are you running?
My fault the ak v doesnt have a buffer.
Does it have the alg trigger? Have you lubed ut well? Direct thread suppressor or a mount?
My initial thought it ammo. The syntech is flat nosed iirc. I use AAC 147gr in mine and it runs like a sewing machine.
The can is on a Kemo mount, I do not have the ALG trigger, I’ve got one ordered.
The funny thing is that the 150 gn flat nose syntech’s will run when I remove the can. While shooting them with the can on, it seems to put more gas in my face than the regular 115 blazers
A can does indeed cause more gas to the face on an AK. I recommend trying different subsonic ammo first. That is the easiest thing to test.
Edit: are you using psa mags or cz mags?
It runs the ammo fine without the can…… the can increases pressure, they should cycle. The supersonic 115’s cycled fine
Try a different subsonic though. Thats the quick and easy way to cross something off the list.
Have you modded the gun in any way or is it still in its factory config?
Did you ever get this solved? I’m running into the same issue. 124 grain runs fine suppressed and 150 grain Syntechs ran fine for the first range trip I had. I ended up stocking up on them and now I’m running into the same issue as like every other round has a failure to extract. I just went back to 124 grain in the same range trip and it had no issues extracting.
