Anyone having light primer strikes on there 105 I think my firing pin is short
What ammo?
Red army. It weird if I tilted the gun up it would go out tilted it down no go.
Some of that ammo can have really hard primers. Have you tried a different ammo at all?
Also, how much lube have you used?
Hard primers need a strong hammer spring.
It’s got the alg trigger
I cleaned it before taking it out and it’s got plenty of lube. I have 3 other 47 this is my first 74
I work 2nd shift so in the morning I’m going to put some calipers on the firing pin to see if it might be short.
I put 60 rounds of Red Army through mine today. Head stamps are Tula, surprisingly mine ran 100%. Mine has an ALG trigger installed also. My GF5 hated Tula, was expecting the same with my 105. I also tried to run some Monarch with Barnaul head stamps. Those keyholed at 50 yards.
They sent me a new firing pen and it’s running like a dam clock.
What firing pin did they send as the replacement?? I got light strikes on my 105 within first hundred rounds, which got progressively worse until it wouldn’t ignite Golden Tiger at all. It still ran Tula for a bit but then they started light striking as well. Now the gun is totally down over the damn firing pin, won’t fire anything. Called CS, they sent a firing pin combo for PSA-AK47 which doesn’t even fit into the 5.45 bolt stem… plus the retainer is wayyy too long lol clearly not the correct parts. So I called back…and was assured it would be handled correctly this time. Waited 2 weeks, right as I opened the package I saw the exact same firing/retainer combo as before. At this point I’d hate to receive a third incorrect part, but if you had success on the first try would you happen to have the part number or anything I can relay to them so I can get this gun running?! Thank you…
