Picked up an AK-105 Pic-Pistol (Serial No 1963) in February 2023… everything started fine until I started getting random light strikes on Golden Tiger, although it ran Tula flawlessly. Figured it needed a high energy hammer spring, which I installed same time I swapped out the trigger group for ALG. Unfortunately the new high energy spring didn’t solve the issue. Decided to test my lot of 5.45 Golden Tiger in other rigs to see if possibly it just had stupid hard primers… but the other rigs (SLR-104 & AKSU) ran Tiger totally fine. At this point I said I’ll feed it what it wants (Tula) and reserve the Tiger. Well unfortunately Tula started getting light strikes, confirming likely firing pin issue. Called CS, requested new firing pin, they quickly sent out a new FP & retainer, but package was marked “PSAK47” and the FP didn’t even fit into the 5.45 bolt stem, plus the retainer pin was ~ a centimeter too long. Called CS back explaining the situation. They assured correct FP would be sent out this time. Waited 2 weeks, received package, immediately noticed it was exact same PSAK47 firing pin combo as previously sent. Pretty aggravating honestly. This is such a simple problem to fix. I would just buy a replacement myself to avoid a third incorrect part being sent, but I’m having no luck in finding the correct firing pin for this particular bolt. No idea if it’s due to being a ToolCraft or what. I pulled the firing pin out of my WASR-3 which is a 5.56 rifle and noticed the firing pin is extremely similar to the factory firing pin that came in my bolt, although it is just a tiny bit shorter in overall length it has the exact same profile & width. It’ll also fit into the 5.45 bolt stem but it isn’t long enough to strike the primer unless you tilt the gun up a bit lol… anyway if anyone has or had a similar problem anything to point me in the right direction will be appreciated… Thanks…
