AKV + DeadAir Wolfman Question (Direct Thread)

Hello. Probably a bit of a dumb question, but this is my first suppressor. I picked up the Deadair Wolfman and just direct thread screwed it on. If this is going to be the main host of the suppressor, is there any reason to get a mounting system? Has anyone had any issues with direct threading a can to their AKV? How likely is it to come off while shooting? Going to be shooting it this week for the first time suppressed! Such a fun gun

You might want to check the alignment with a rod. Direct thread on an AK-V puts the can on the gas block instead of the barrel shoulder. Most folks i know run 3lug and use the Hahnson Brothers 3lug as it screws under the gas block and hits the shoulder. Alao check for wobble. If you bump fire youe AK-V you could get a baffle strike.

If wobble is an issue see if you can find a bixler mount for the 3 lug. It doesnt have a spring inside and instead screws down for secure fit.

Most people that buy “Direct Thread” Leave them on One gun.
