AR-10 Upper Compatability

I am anticipating purchase of a .300 BO upper to use on my existing 300BO pistol lower, will my lower work for a .300BO 16" upper?
I am also anticipating purchase of .308 16" upper. Can I use my existing 16 inch 223 lower for this rifle or is it necessary to purchase a .308 lower?

Yes on the .300 as the only difference is the barrel length. You will need the larger AR-10 lower for .308 because the rounds and magazines physically cannot fit into an AR-15 magwell.

@Dan-O-Man when you get a 308, get both the upper and lower from the same manufacturer. AR15s have an industry standard, ar10s do not. There is no guaranteed fit unless from the same manufacturer.
