Ar folding stock adapters

Hi everyone, I’ve been on the forum a couple months. See a lot of great info and minimal trash talk. Liking it a lot!
I’d like to hear from anyone who has experience with side folding stock adapters? Besides the $50 Chinese Amazon junk, I’ve seen 3 primary brands, LAW TACTICAL, SYLVANARMS, and one other I can’t recall. I need one in order to fit my 11.5" PSA AR pistol into a storage compartment in my vehicle. They seem a bit expensive, so any suggestions? Which is best and why?

The Law is by far the best, and the most expensive. I have seen a Sylvan and it had a little wobble to it. It still worked, but the law IMO would be worth the extra coin.

I wanted to buy the Law, but after being unavailable for several months I caved and bought the Sylvan.

Of course 2 weeks later the Law came back in stock seemingly everywhere.

The Sylvan is Ok. I had a minor issue with the buffer retainer pin that they took care of free of charge. No more pin, note that in the last picture. Some of the “slop” can be tightened out of it, and honestly when shooting, this is a non issue. Everything feels solid. It’s about .020ish of play, note pictures below.

When I bought it I got a deal, and I justified it as I can buy 3 Sylvan adapters before I’m out money as to compared to the Law. The same holds true today.

If I had to do it over, I’d still buy the Law if available, but I don’t regret buying the Sylvan either.

Note:

I have the Armaspec SMB. This required the hollow extension from Sylvan Arms as an additional purchase. If you’re running a standard buffer and spring, this isn’t necessary.

Be aware, the spacer that comes with the adapter is steel, and weighs 3.0+ oz and affects reciprocating weight, IE possible cycling issues. Sylvan offers a light weight aluminum extension, as well as this hollow aluminum extension for silent buffer spring setups.

PSA has quite a few ar folding stock adapter options.
