After around 400 rounds through my Springfield AR10, I’ve noticed some slight wear on the rear of my bolt lugs. Does this wear look normal to you or is it something I should be concerned about?
I should mention that I do not see any unusual wear with the barrel extension, nor does it seemed timed incorrectly
Looks fine to me, like it wore in.

Yes I did notice it was kind of stiff and gritty when I first got it. Now it’s completely smooth.
Yeah, looks like normal wearing of sharp corners. I’d be concerned if maybe ONE of the lugs had a dramatic scallop worn into it, but what you have there looks pretty typical.

Finish wearing in, that’s all my friend. It’s the metal and finish wearing in and losing a bit of the protective coating, nothing at all to worry or keep an eye on. It’ll lose more finish, but do not fret. This is not a defect, and in fact a good thing. The bolt and chamber extension mating up and seasoning to one another. Keep on Blasting
