Is PSA planning to bring the PSA 1911 back into production? I have heard other versions of Daggers (which I own and enjoy), 5.7 and various rifles are slated for this year, but nothing on the fate of J.M. Browning’s baby.

They currently make them through the PSA Custom line and the Columbia store had stripped frames last week.

so to answer your question, at this time i dont think there is plans for any mass production of 1911s, like they had done in the past. now there are just a handful of 1911s built for the custom line run, and from what i understand they are built one at a time, and when it sells, out, then they look at building the next one, depending upon what they wanna do model wise, then they build antoher custom 1911.

i personally think they should do a mass production of 1911 parabellum with fiber optics, i love my rock island 9mm 1911 and only thing i want to upgrade is the sights… it costs so much to do that, if they offer it already installed grab it up.

im unsure if they would come back out with a mass production line of 1911s because of the cost and time involved with making them and all the other options out there for inexpensive 1911s that are out there already. That’s why i think they’ve been going with the Custom 1911s on occasion, putting them up when they have them finished from being hand built or just my thoughts on the subject.
