@Josiah_PSA YHM Sidewinder 45

well i cant be left out, here’s my first 1911 ever built. and so far my last I’ve ever built because PSA has not had enough 1911 stuff released to build more on a regular basis. Its a Threaded National Match Storm Lake Barrel, night sights, with custom engraved Grips I had done by a buddy of mine over at the Joe’s Engraving.

While i didnt build this one, it is their production run blued premium 1911. I figure it’s good to show what they produced from their in house building to what say i or you were to build. Most of the 1911s that PSA built in house, were easily identifiable by having the cross cannon logo engraved on the back half of the slide behind the rear slide serrations.

I got one of the early releases thanks to JD when he was at Farrow Road. Just about everything in it is Wilson Combat. I had the PSA logo engraved at a local trophy shop. It was quite a job putting this thing together (fitting the grip safety is a straight up bitch!) but it functions like it’s supposed to. :grinning:

I like the blued one. I should have picked up one when PSA still offered them.

@Waffenbauer I have a Wilson beavertail jig and a spare beavertail if you ever want to try a different one and get the lines smooth with no gap.

Thanks for the offer. I may take you up on that. :sunglasses:

@GuitarGuy

so did i. did yours come with the front strap serrations or no? mine came with the front serrations done. @GuitarGuy has become very proficient at checkering if you wanted that done he may be able to teach or do it.

No serrations on mine. Wouldn’t mind having it done to my pistola.

You mean front strap checkering? I have a jig and files and we can do that too…

This was the PSA 9mm I built for my dad. Hand checkered the underside of the trigger guard and you can see that I had the horizontal lines on the front strap ready for the vertical.
