Hello, I’ve seen some people with pictures but have heard conflicting info on whether some upgraded Bolt Catches will work. I found a post on here that said they used an Aero lower parts kit Bolt Catch and someone else used an extended Bolt Catch. Other people say though that only PSA’s are compatible. What has been people on here’s experience with this. I know that the PSA catch uses a roll pin instead of a screw but other than that what should I look for?
Since AR10s don’t have the same build standard AR15s do, unfortunately you run into these compatibility issues often. Unless you want to engage in an exercise of frustration with trial and error, stick with the same brand as your lower.

Yes, unfortunately i’m aware of the AR-10 pitfalls. I was just wondering if someone on here had maybe tried and found one that worked since PSA doesn’t offer an upgraded one. The factory one has a painfully small holding side button for the latch.

you can try to use a strike or a geiselle if you want, i have no gauarntee that it will work, but those are larger options for ar15s that may or may not work.
i’ve always just used the ar15 /ar10 one that psa sells for its ar10 stuff.
