I had an extractor break this past weekend. I have a couple KS-47s, but I only had one with me so it put an end to my 7.62x39 fun. I was letting my non gun owning brother-in-law shoot when it happened. It was a let down for the day.
I was a fairly early adopter and all my KS-47s have the first version of the extractor. Has anyone had issue with the uograded one?
I put in a warranty claim fours days ago. How long should I wait before I should be concerned I haven’t had a response?
What ammo? Steel cased?
The upgraded extractor has been gtg from what i have seen.
Had constant breakages with the original extractor. Never had an issue with the TC-E version through about 1500rds.
as today i was fiddling with my ks lower, and adding a b5 coyote stock, and a bcm mod 3 fde grip, i am heartened to hear that the replacement TC_E version of the extractor no longer has issues. Now i need to get a complete upper, and ensure i have a bcg and ch for it, and i’ll be ready to shoot it too as soon as possible. Goodness knows im sure excited enough to want to throw it all together now and go shooting… one problem though… I have yet to buy the rest of the parts to finish the build lol., oh well all in time. No rush. I have an akkar i can shoot or a few ak’s if i wanna shoot that round a lot.
