So the retaining spring and pin for my bolt keeps popping out and I’m not sure how to fix it. Any suggestions?
When I shoot my ks-47 it kicks out the locked-in pmag without chambering the next round. I bought the complete lower and complete upper from PSA .
I will try some steel mags I bought before returning it to PSA for repair or replacement. Anyone had this issue?
Yes constantly, this requires modification of the magazine catch. I filed down the top until it starts to touch the bolt, then I file down the bottom until the catch finally closed.
Welcome @gerardo.licon If you would like us to take a look at it for you, please PM me.
1st trip to range with KS-47 on 6/25. Out of 40 rounds has at least 15 FTE. Today I played around with different springs and buffers and continued to have the same problem. The round is being pulled from chamber but does usually does not make it out of the ejection port and causes a jam when bolt tries to load next round. Any help would be appreciated. Bought the complete lower and complete upper from PSA.
Sounds like its undergassed, have you inspected the gas rings on the bolthead? Its also possible the Ejector is hanging up, I would try rocking an empty case under the extractor to check the tension on it. Just pull it back and let it go, and the empty case should fly across the room like it should fly across the range, if not, new springy time.
It sounds like the ejector or spring. If you would like us to take a look at it, please PM me.
Can you please help me? I need a KS47 bcg to finish my build and have been waiting for over six months.
Thank you
Dan
Going to the PSA range tomorrow with hopes that a different spring and buffer will help negate the problem. If this does not work I will have to send in for warranty work.
i bought a complete gen2 ks47 back in january 2021, but was not able to go to the range until 10/22/21. i had instant issues of my pmags not wanting to lock into place, i had 8 different pmags gen1 and gen 3 with me. occasionally i could get 1 that seemed like it locked in place, when i fired the gun i would have failure to feed after 1 round, and also failure to eject. after 30 min of aggravation i managed to get only 4 shots off. is this something that can be fixed? i made contact with the support chat from psa and they sent me a tracking label to mail it in, but told me they do not have any parts in stock to do the repair, and it would be at least 30 business days before they would get any.
Run that sucker super wet. Lots of oil for the first 200 rounds. These guns seem to like it during break in Ive found. I own 2 and they world flawlessly. I oil mine up way more than most guys. Oil is cheaper than gun parts I always say. Good luck.
Was wondering what suppressors would be compatible with my KS47 G2?
The barrel is threaded 5/8x24 - which seems standard for most .30 cal firearms in the US. There are tons of setups so it’s probably a good thing to read and watch videos on the subject. Whoever you buy from should ask the pertinent questions regarding barrel threading, caliber, type of mount, and more.
I ended up with a SilencerCo Chimera 300 because my local dealer is a reseller for them. There are probably “better” ones for various uses, but mine is pretty cool ![]()
Continuing the discussion from About the KS-47 category:
I bought a complete Ks47 pistol 8.5 from psa and it won’t cycle it also jams. I have sent it back to psa once already just to get it back and have it do the same thing. I’m at a loss here with not knowing what to do? I reached out again for the second time sent all my videos and photos filled out the forms. They said it qualified to come in for repair again and it’s been over 40 days and still no return label?? I’m using pmags gen2 and 3 norma and belom brass ammo. gas is not leaking out of anything. only upgrade I did was an ambidextrous raptor charging handle I have put the mil-spec one back in same problems?? Help anyone!
Hi Cellis, sorry to hear about these problems. You’re not the only person to say they have had some issues with Belom ammo (seems under powered). I would simply buy some cheaper ammo first. Get some steel case stuff like Wolf, Tula, Branaul, etc. If that doesn’t work, try out some Steel magazines. One of my KS47 lowers does that same nose dive jam into the chamber with steel magazines for some reason. It works great with pmags, PSA waffles and Bulgarian plastic mags though.
I have some other ideas to get some more back pressure because the 8.5" barrel is pretty short but your KS47 should be working out of the box without the experimenting.

Is there a Nicolle boron bolt carrier group that is compatible with the is-47
Nickle
Nickel
The KS47 BCG is proprietary. You could send it to a coating company and get it NiB, TiN, hard chrome or whatever you want.
