There’s very little PSA left in this thing, but I got her together and she works fine. Trying to build another one these things are quite simply the best option out there. Its light its tight its modular, and its in 7.62x39 that is still vaguely available and doesn’t cost 2 bucks a bullet like 5.56x45 does right now in 2021. Its a KS47 lower with a Gibbs arms side charging upper, an aero precision barrel and a Rock River Bolt carrier group.
Really wish they’d get around to the KS-74 they promised us 3 years ago.

Actually I prefer these, that fit a standard AR-15 lower. The upper one was the first rifle that I built. Thousands and thousands of rounds of the cheapest ammo, NO malfunctions. I have p-mag, c products and asc mags. They all work perfectly.

@ckreutzberg I have both the KS47 and AR47. I like both, but I liked the fact that I didn’t have to purchase extra mags for the KS47. Both work great! I have the C Products mags for my AR47.

I just rec my KS-47 a few days ago. Haven’t fired it yet, maybe tomorrow. I waited months for the one with the traditional fore grip to become available and jumped on it. I’m going to put a carry handle on the front sight, for that old school retro look.

Very cool! I was looking at gibbs stuff before the uppers started popping back in stock. Still might pick one up and build one out with an essential parts kit. Did you do head space checks? I’m fairly new to building and that was a little worrisome but it seems pretty straight forward.
Its an AR firing steel case ammo, I didn’t bother with headspace, the gun goes into battery and fires as accurate as I can hope for with the hodgepodge of Russian ammo I can get. Its not an M14, as long as its made right it’ll headspace. A string and a sandbag is a lot cheaper than a headspace gauge, if the gun goes into battery, and the brass isn’t shredded its headspaced. Buy good components from reputable builders and headspace is not a worry. I only start chasing headspace when I’ve got problems like split necks and blown primers.

this is another gun i have yet to buy that i need to build is the ks47. Of all the PSA items ive seemingly put this one off for no real good reason other than i just have. It’s kinda odd but it is what it is. I’ve heard nothing but good things about the KS47’s though so i do look forward to building one soon.

loving that mag color. would prefer a shorter barrel with my ks47 though. what length is yours?
these are both 16 inch barrels. The only reason these rifles exist is because the options for mounting optics on AK’s are so poor, so I see no reason to bother with a short barrel and the reduction of power in an already medium power round. I have been trying to chase down a 24 inch bull barrel, but I am unsure how well this caliber will function in a rifle length gas system.
i’ve not seen a long barrel on a ks47 before like that. It’ll be interesting to me to see it and how it performs.
