Broken striker

dang. Every time I see post in this thread I get all nervous. Like I said, I do a lot of dry firing. I have no idea how many rounds through the pistol but it’s lots and I haven’t had the issue. I wonder if all these broken strikers can be isolated to one lot or material order. Are the strikers made in house and are the materials from the same supplier from lot to lot? Heat treating changes during production? As a quality engineer, these are the questions I would be asking.

All I can say is I never had an issue. And I dry fire all the time without snap caps. I would say I have over a couple thousand rounds through the pistol and I dryfire many times more than I live fire. Gives me a warm and fuzzy kinda feeling!

bought mine at midwayusa, but other places have them…like lonewolf, ndz performance, midwest gun works, overwatch precision has gen 3 np3 coated strikers in stock.
but some times they run out.

Thanks Kiki! I’m looking at the gen 3 np3 coated strikers on Overwatch. I found what I think is the correct striker but it says that it’s for “nonslimline” glocks which confuses me a bit. Aren’t slimline glock G43x and G48 etc. Would’t the Dagger Micro be a slimline G43x clone? I have the Compact and standard Daggers too. Will the gen 3 np3 strikers on Overwatch fit all 3 Dagger’s ? My addled brain wants to know… :grimacing:

ok…the one i was referring to was (gen 3) strikers for glock 19 or psa compact dagger! “not slimline or micro” glock redesigned the gen 5 and slimline strikers! the 43, 43x, 48 and psa micro use same striker. the good news is if your looking for a glock 43, etc… np3 coated firing pin…Suarez international has them. and overwatch has np3 gen 3 strikers…hope this helps…but for the record dagger and micro dagger do not use the same firing pins!!!

I’ve never had this issue but since a couple of my Daggers are part of my go bags, reliability is important. It really sucks to pay $50 for a replacement part on a $250 pistol “just in case”. Given I have 5 Daggers, that’s basically the price of a new Dagger. Anyway, I’ll end up paying because I like the Dagger so much. But it definitely rubs me wrong.

Thanks Kiki that helps!

verbalkint…how much is your life worth? im sure its worth more than $50.

That’s why I said I’d spend the $$. Shouldn’t be something I even need to think about, though.
