Just recently got a 10.5 upper and pistol lower and have been ordering some parts and accessories… What buffer springs do you guys use? I wanted to get some kind of chrome silicon enhanced, has anyone tried a damage inc ar10 spring? Stock charger sucks with the ar10 spring so I ordered a raptor
I have an aero enhanced carbine tube for my 5.56 and I wanted to swap the anti tilt tube that came with my psa ar on to the 47. I’m assuming that will work and be compatible with the 47 carrier?
Also pmags are a tight fit, inserting and removing several times fixed them not wanting to lock in… But the feed lips seem to be rubbing on the bottom of the bolt carrier. Has anyone else experienced this and do they just need to wear in after a few rounds? It doesn’t hang up but I can feel it make contact if I ride the bolt forward. I can’t imagine it causing a malfunction under full recoil or spring tension but I’m wondering what to do if it does, do I just need to file a bit off the rear tab so it will lock in easier and sit lower?
I haven’t even shot it because I don’t have a scope yet, primary arms SLx 3x prism for 7.62 is in the mail

Dont use an ar10 spring. Just get a stiffer ar15 spring.

What @GuitarGuy said!
There’s a lot of variables to consider when tuning the gun. Gas block type (FSP/A2, standard, adjustable, etc.), gas port size, gas tube, suppressed or not, etc.
My go-to setup on 5.56/.223 10" to 11.5" carbine gas length barrels is a SpringCo red spring and an H2 buffer. That combo on a fixed gas block or an A2 FSP will give me a steady 3:00 ejection unsuppressed and a steady 2:00 with a can on the front. 11.5" to 14.5" carbine gas length I’ll do a blue spring with an H1 or H2 buffer weight, depending on suppressed or not.
Your best be is to pick up a couple different strength springs and buffer weights and experiment.

SLx 3x prism is really really nice i use a couple on my 556.. there are too many variables with the buffers so i ended up with several different weights and springs and just try different variations on each build.. cycling is most important but recoil is too carbines are designed to have the least amount of recoil or practically none most the time no matter the length or caliber it should feel really close to the same recoil as a standard 16” 556

just use the stock spring.. try a couple different weighted buffers

10.5 that’s still a full carbine gas length i believe i use h1 in mine

idk tho.. i use an h2 in my 16” midlength gas and it’s incredibly smooth.
like way better than a standard ar15

Welcome to the PSA forum!
As for the Pmags, run them.
Your concern on a empty mag is no concern.
Your range day will tell all IMHO.
All of my PSA builds has the buffer/spring that came with the kit to include gas blocks.
Zero issues 223 556 300 and 308
Scratch builds on some a different animal but l learned a lot from the members on this kind forum.

IMHO PMags suck balls as far as AK and Glock magazines go. (They do make great AR magazines) I prefer Tapco mags over Magpul for AK’s. I recommend the polymer Bulgarian mags, or the U.S. Palm mags for the KS47. Both are a good value, and are likely a better choice to run than steel surplus in an AL frame. Don’t get me wrong, I’ve got a ton a steel surplus, Bakelite, poly, steel reinforced poly, etc mags. (I have a lot of AK mag) My KS47 has no issues eating from any of them, (including Pmags) but the Pmags are my least favorite AK mag.
