Burris Mounts: When the Fudge muffin?!

I went well out of my way to buy specifically a Burris QD cantilever mount for my new AR. I drove to OKC Bass Pro and was elated to see they had one left in stock, so I greedily snagged it and took it home (yes after paying for it) and tossed it in the man cave.

After making some food for work tomorrow I decided to put my 1-6x in the mount, and gasped when I saw the teeny weenie MADE IN CHINA sticker.

When did Burris go CHICOM?

Yea I have lots of good Chinese stuff, but I wanted to go US made for my new Duty-Buddy……guess I crapped the bed on this. I’ll use the mounts, I’m sure they will work just fine, but I am disappointed.

If you want an American mount then you will pay $$ for it. LaRue, Geissele, ADM, and I think Warne are all American made. Most everything else is china.

I’m just wondering when they went away from producing. I used to be a complete Burris scope ring guy.

They have been, as have others, China products for years.

i had no idea they moved to china… not surprised though. like GG said most everything else is now.. I’d check out Warne but they’re pricey too.. just like anything else is these days.
